MAFS Australia's Jamie responds to fan theory about relationship with Eliot
Married at First Sight Australia is no stranger to the occasional couple swap, and now fans are convinced there could be another pairing on the cards, thanks to the notable chemistry between Eliot Donovan and Jamie Marinos. And now Jamie has spoken about the alleged relationship between them.
The reunion of Married at First Sight Australia just aired down under (we've still got a few weeks to go until the UK release), and it's meant all the cast has come back for a number of viewing parties to watch the final episode hit screens.
This means a lot of the cast have been hanging out, including Eliot and Jamie. In the last few days Eliot has posted a number of TikToks with Jamie and fellow bride Beth, and many of his followers are pointing out how well the pair get on.
In one TikTok, Eliot appears in his briefs, and a bowtie, while answering the phone and then Awhina, Beth and Jamie all pop up behind him, emulating a Charlie's Angels moment while a soundbite from Charlie's Angels plays.
The video has been viewed nearly 1 million times and is full of people commenting about Jamie and Eliot's chemistry, with one person writing: "hear me out, Jamie and Elliot make sense in my mind 🥺🥺," while another said: "No but why am I thinking Eliot and Jamie would be a good match haha."
And that's not the only indication of their growing connection. Eliot also posted another TikTok over the weekend of himself serving food to Beth and Jamie, captioning the video "POV: You become the perfect husband" and again people were flooding the comments wanting the two to get together.
"Really feel like Jamie could match you for wit and banter.. 🤔 just putting that out there #jelliot 😅❤️," one person wrote, giving the pair a couple name and another added: "Why do I think him and Jamie would be THE COUPLE💯."
It's not just the fans feeding this theory either, as Eliot has also showed the strength of the pair's connection when he complimented Jamie. One TikTok user responded to the food video and commented: "OK, I know this post is about UL yet but can we just discuss how amazing Jamie looks!?" And Eliot then replied "Stunning 💕."
Still need another clue there might be something going on between these two? Well, during a dinner to celebrate the reunion over the weekend, in a video captured by the Daily Mail, Jamie was seen sat with Eliot and Awhina, when Awhina said the thing Jamie missed most about Dave was "how much he would have sex with her" and then Jamie responded saying, "but that's what Eliot's for".
Later on in the evening Eliot read a question aloud that said: "did you ever hook up or kiss another MAFS cast member who wasn't your match?" At this point Jamie then says for him to sit down and Eliot laughs and says "not yet."
However, it appears this may just be friendly banter between the pair as Jamie has now dished on what is actually going on with the two of them.
While speaking to Today on 8 April, Jamie said the pair were friends and she enjoys making TikToks with him.
"Look, we actually are good friends and we were really good friends on the show and he's so funny! I mean, not the worst thing that can happen? He's only human, guys," she told the show's hosts. "We would make the funniest TikToks, and we'd break the internet and I'm so for that!"
Jamie then responded to the show's host saying he hopes she will be lucky in love, by saying: "Here's to hoping, and who knows – it might just be another husband on the show!"
Eliot and Jamie both took part in this year's Married at First Sight Australia, with Eliot getting married twice on the show. His first marriage to wife Lauren, ended after three days when Eliot decided to leave the marriage as he didn't feel it was working.
He later returned to the experiment and was paired up with Veronica. The two had a great start to their marriage, however things ultimately didn't last with the pair leaving the series in episode 29.
Jamie was matched with Dave and for a number of weeks the pair had one of the strongest marriages in the experiment. They did in fact make it to final vows, however, it's since been revealed the pair are no longer together.
Maybe Eliot and Jamie will get their happy ending together.
