Timothée Chalamet and Austin Butler Gussied Up for the ‘Dune 2’ Premiere in Paris
Timothée Chalamet channeled the warrior spirit of his character Paul Atreides at the Dune 2 premiere in Paris on Monday evening.
The French-American actor walked the red carpet in a shiny metal breastplate that made him look as if he were ready for a very stylish battle. The chic armor was part of a custom haute couture outfit the house of Givenchy crafted for Chalamet. The Dune lead also wore a black wool jacket with a notch lapel and matching wool trousers in place of greaves and gauntlets.

Chalamet topped off the look with, you guessed it, Cartier jewelry. The A-lister, who has been an ambassador of the Parisian jeweler since 2021, regularly steps out in Panthères, Crashes, and the like. He appeared to be wearing a platinum Cintrée from the Rééditions sub-collection and a sizable silver ring last night.
Chalamet wasn’t the only A-lister looking sharp at the premiere, of course. Austin Butler, who plays villain Feyd-Rautha in the hotly anticipated Dune sequel, sported an elegant Louis Vuitton look at Monday’s soiree. It comprised an impeccably tailored black jacket, a crisp white shirt, and a pair of dramatic, ‘70s-esque flared trousers.
Butler and Chalamet have turned many memorable looks on the press tour for Dune 2. Before the premiere on Monday evening, the two Hollywood heartthrobs attended a photocall at the Shangri-La in Paris in decidedly stylish ‘fits. Chalamet paired sleek leather pants from Bottega Veneta’s SS23 ready-to-wear collection, with a black turtleneck, Oliver Peoples shades, and, of course, Cartier bling. Butler, who was styled by Sandra Amador, wore an effortlessly cool, monochromatic Fear of God ensemble and understated David Yurman jewelry.
The pair also looked particularly smart at the Dune 2 premiere in Mexico on February 6. Chalamat wore a custom Prada suit made of gray English kid mohair (you can pick a similar one up here) and a black poplin v-neck shirt, while Butler donned a bold pinstripe suit from Saint Laurent’s SS24 ready-to-wear collection for the occasion.
As for when you’ll get to see this stylish duo together on screen, Dune: Part Two is set to be released internationally on February 28 and in the United States on March 1.
