Today host Savannah Guthrie does not need your comments on her appearance. Guthrie, who along with the other hosts of Today has been doing her own hair and makeup styling since they began broadcasting from home during the Coronavirus pandemic, called out a Twitter user who called her on-air look "unkempt" and "distracting."

"We are all doing our own hair and makeup during the pandemic," Guthrie responded on Twitter. "And yes it shows!"

Luckily, Guthrie had the support of other fans. "Savannah you're a great journalist and we love you for your knowledge, ability and empathy, not for your hair," one wrote. "You’re a role model to so many of us with or without your hair and makeup team. Thank you for your hard work," wrote another.

In an April interview with People, Guthrie said she had a bit of hair and makeup experience from her early days in broadcast news when she styled herself. But since it's been a few decades since she's needed to do it, she's a bit rusty. "I just pour it on and hope for the best and I'm not that good at doing my hair and makeup," she told People. "But I'm just trying to do the best I can."

The woman who left the original comment did end up apologizing. "I didn't mean to be mean," she wrote. "I worked in television for 32 years. I was just surprised that the makeup artists would let the hair slide on national tv for two days. You do look great. Its the hair that needs a little love. We love you in Puerto Rico! #mujeresalpoder."
