Tom Holland got some important Hollywood advice from Mark Wahlberg
At age 21, Tom Holland has had a quick rise to fame, from his title role in Billy Elliot the Musical to starring in The Impossible, to being cast as Spider-Man.
At a time in life when most of us would be in college, interning somewhere, or finally buying beer, Holland’s had the incredible chance to work with celebs like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Pratt, and get a Spidey blessing from Andrew Garfield.

So how is Holland handling this quick rise to stardom?
On a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Holland says his life has “flipped upside down in the last six weeks.”
Lucky for Holland, he was sitting on the couch with a fellow celebrity who also became famous at a young age — Mark Wahlberg.
Wahlberg, first known as front man for the group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, made his way into acting with films like Boogie Nights and Three Kings, and has continued to appear in more recent titles such as The Departed, Ted and Transformers.
Yup, this was a thing.
Host Graham Norton asked the now 46-year-old Wahlberg what celebrity advice he could offer Holland, to which Wahlberg joked:
“I am the last person he should ask for advice.”
He then asks Holland a pertinent question for any up-and-coming celebrity.
“You’ve never been to jail, have you?” Wahlberg says, to which Holland quickly replies no.
Wahlberg admits he went to jail before his career launched and Holland will just have to experience it post-fame. A celebrity walk-of-shame in a sense, right?
“Don’t take any advice from me” Wahlberg adds. “The first check I got, I ran to the Mercedes dealer. I bought a car. I didn’t have money for registration or insurance. The police towed the vehicle because I was driving without insurance. You don’t want any advice from me.”
This may come off as the worst insight ever for a young actor, but Wahlberg turned it around with some very Entourage-sounding tips.
“I just met all your brothers,” Wahlberg says. “Bring the boys to Cali. Get a medical marijuana license… and have some fun dude. Have some fun for me!”
Holland happily agreed to that. Plus from the looks of his Instagram, he’s already having a great time with his brothers.
