These Are the Top Fall 2024 Color Trends From New York Fashion Week

Once again, New York Fashion Week is here to fill our timelines and imagination with new looks and, as always, new colors to inspire our wardrobes. Pantone did expert sleuthing, and published its Fall 2024 Color Trend Report on Friday, which highlights key shades for the season based on what designers use in their collections plus the general sentiment in broader culture.

Echoing the viral beauty trends on TikTok, the seasonal palette boasts colors named after hearty foods: Tomato Cream (a "toasty" red) and Italian Plum (a deep purple). There's also Scarlet Smile (a bold, pinkish red), Golden Palm (a yellow green), Aventurine (deep emerald), Red Orange (exactly what it says), Fern (green like the plant), Moonstruck (a light slate grey), Winter Sky (baby blue) and Lucent White (stark alabaster).

According to a statement from Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, the Fall 2024 palette "strives for balance between the more familiar and the new and exciting, embracing longevity and seasonless style. Altogether, these colors provide "playful and energetic accents for moments of magic," and can be described as "functional and adaptable," "reliable and robust," she continued.
