Almost every month, Trader Joe’s seems to come out with a new line of bags. As a food journalist, it suddenly feels like I’m a fashion writer trying to keep up with the grocer’s latest drops. From mini insulated bags to fancy cheese-inspired totes, there’s no shortage of accessories that you can spot at this store. Or maybe there is … because whenever the brand releases something, they sell out quickly!

On February 17, Trader Joe’s shoppers began noticing the return of collapsible totes, a popular item the grocer has offered in the past. This hot accessory’s reappearance has sparked excitement among fans eager to *finally* get their hands on one.

If you take a trip to TJ’s, you’ll find these new collapsible totes for $3.99 each. As the name suggests, they fold down to a paper-thin size, making them easy to stash in your car’s trunk or tuck away next to your fridge. While the grocer hasn’t posted size details on its website yet, they seem to be on the larger end. The bags come in two fun patterns: one with moon and clouds, and the other is filled with veggies like radishes and onions.

If you are a Trader Joe’s stan, then you most likely follow @traderjoesobsessed, who has also posted about this find. Fans raced to the comment section of the post detailing this drop to share their thoughts. One person said, “Love these! Grabbed another one today!” while another mentioned, “Omg I need to make sure I get them. I love it so much.”

In the past, some Trader Joe’s locations have placed limits on how many bags you can buy at a time. But shoppers are reporting that there don’t seem to be any restrictions on the collapsible totes for now. One person even mentioned in the comments section of the post shared by @traderjoesobsessed that they were able to buy six totes in one trip.

Just keep in mind that this tote purchase limit policy could change down the line, especially if Trader Joe’s starts seeing the same kind of hype around these bags as it did with its mini totes (which, at one point, were reselling on eBay for nearly $1,000).

If you’ve had your eye on these collapsible grocery bags in the past and weren’t able to get your hands on one, now’s the time to head to your nearest location ASAP to see if you can spot one. Good luck!
