Travis Kelce Subtly Addressed Those Taylor Swift Engagement Rumors

Travis Kelce is only focused on one ring this week.

One bold reporter addressed those Taylor Swift engagement rumors during a recent press conference with the 34-year-old football player, who is currently preparing to play in the Super Bowl on February 11.

“Is there going to be another ring besides the Super Bowl ring if you win this thing on Sunday?” the reporter asked, per Page Six.

Kelce responded, “I’m focused on getting this ring, and that’s all that my mind’s focused on right now.”

However, during another round of interviews shared by the Kansas City Chiefs on February 7, Kelce confirmed that the tunnel vision goes both ways. When asked if Swift has given the tight end any pre–Super Bowl pep talks, he explained that Swift is “focused on entertaining the crowd” in Tokyo, where she has a string of Eras Tour concerts this week.

“She’s just working on entertaining them and making sure she’s ready for her performances,” he continued. “The Super Bowl, we’ll worry about if she can make it.”

Of course, Swift is widely predicted to attend, as her final performance in Tokyo takes place on February 10. Given the 17-hour time difference, this should leave enough time for Swift to fly to Nevada for the big game on February 11.

In the same interview, Travis Kelce told reporters he didn’t have a problem being asked about his pop star girlfriend. “I think it’s fair,” he told one reporter who described his answers as “gracious.” He continued, “Everybody’s having fun with it. It’s not like you guys are up here teeing off on me left and right. You know, everybody’s having a good time with it so how could I be upset?”

Kelce kept this same positive attitude when asked by an LA Times reporter on February 8 why the public is so “fascinated” with their relationship. “I think the values that we stand for, who we are as people,” he said with a smile, per one video shared by KSHB 41 News on X.com. “We love to shine light on others—shine light on people who help and support us. On top of that, I think we just both have a love for life.”

While he was even willing to play ball when asked to finish the adjusted “Karma” lyric, saying that karma is the guy on the “Chiefs, of course,” he did draw the line at singing the rest of the line.

To be fair, singing is Swift’s job. Kelce’s job is to play football and answer our questions about his Grammy-winning girlfriend. He’s very good at both.
