A Trio of Luxury Residential Developments Are Unveiled Along the Red Sea

Owning your personal oasis in the desert just got easier.

Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind tourism destinations in Saudi Arabia like AMAALA and The Red Sea, recently announced a trio of branded residential resort developments. The offerings revealed by Red Sea Residences, a division of RSG, include waterfront accommodations by hospitality heavyweights Ritz-Carlton, Jumeirah, and Miraval. Each comprising up to 32 private residences, these eye-catching enclaves make living la dolce vita in the Middle East a reality.

Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve Residences, opened its doors on Ummahat Island in May 2024. Several of its 21 waterfront villas were snapped up before hitting the market, and photos of the offerings fronted by glistening waters and white sand give an idea why. The fact that you can only reach the property by chartered boat or seaplane only adds to its sense of privacy and exclusivity.

Residences at Miraval, The Red Sea, comprising a 180-room resort hotel and 20 residential villas, is slated to open this fall. Set atop three million square feet of beachfront on the southern end of Shura Island, the wellness-focused retreat will be the U.S.-based brand’s first international property.

Architectural firm Foster + Partners is behind its one- to four-bedroom spreads that are surrounded by mangroves and each feature a “private wellbeing area.” Its residents also gain access to the Miraval Life in Balance Spa, the largest spa on the island, with 37 treatment rooms offering Naga Thai massages, hydrotherapy, and a sensory aquatic experience.

The Talise Spa at Jumeirah Residences, The Red Sea on Shura Island, the brand’s first coastal resort in Saudi Arabia and slated to open later this year, is a suitable alternative, featuring a fully equipped fitness center. The property’s 32 seaside homes will span one to four bedrooms with layouts by the N.Y.C. design studio Champalimaud. Private infinity pools with panoramic Red Sea vistas are a great place to relax alongside the enclave’s signature restaurants and padel courts access.

“These developments reflect our vision for creating world-class communities that offer not just a place to live, but an island lifestyle that brings together nature, vibrancy, and luxury,” says Nick King, group chief development officer at RSG in a statement. Every home built by the developer follows its “responsible development approach,” press materials state. By 2040, it aims to achieve a 30-percent net conservation for local ecosystems.

Ahead of this news, RSG introduced a Four Seasons Private Residences on Shura Island, where a five-bedroom villa is available for $13.87 million. Then there’s Shura Marina Residences, where one-bedroom apartments go for over $2 million. Both are expected to be completed by year’s end, alongside luxury retailers and a marina. As the Red Sea continues to attract travelers and home buyers alike—Robb Report recently kicked off the launch of another massive project, Sindalah Island, with an epic superyacht bash—RSG notes that it is on track to complete 16 hotels as part of its phase one initiatives for 2025.
