Starbucks Has Two New Valentine's Day DrinksAllison Arnold

Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and whether you love or hate the holiday, it's an opportunity to indulge in all things sweet and chocolatey—like Starbucks' new seasonal drinks.

Last year, the coffee chain launched the Pink Drink with Chocolate Cream Cold Foam in honor of February 14. But this year, there are two new beverages that scream Valentine's Day that you can order starting today, while supplies last.

We were some of the first people to try the menu items. Here's what you can expect.

Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie Cold Brew

Chocolate lovers, this one's for you. Cold brew is sweetened with hazelnut syrup and topped with chocolate cream cold foam and chocolate cookie crumbles. As the superior cold foam option in my opinion, this drink was already about to be a winner in my book. It's rich, chocolatey, with a good amount of texture from the cookie crumbles, although the hazelnut is overpowered.

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Crème Frappuccino

Perhaps a little more rich than chocolate-covered strawberries, there is nothing subtle about this one, which tastes like a strawberry milkshake with a hint of chocolate. And as a Crème Frappuccino, this one's a good option for anyone wanting to steer clear of caffeine. Strawberry puree is blended with ice, milk, and java chips, and then layered in the cup with more puree and topped with whipped cream. While just as decadent as a milkshake, the texture of the strawberry and java chips make this even better. But it's essentially a dessert.
