Ungaro Took a Trip to Scotland for Men’s Fall 2025
Philippe Paubert stuck to Ungaro’s essentials once more this season, offering a coherent and cozy-looking collection inspired by the moody landscapes and textile heritage of Scotland. The notoriously murky weather of Caledonia may have inspired the largely muted color palette, with nuances of gray, black and white mixed in with muted blues, khaki green and burgundy.
Lightweight yet textured fabrics played into the theme well, with tweed-like textiles woven in Italy with a soft hand, chunky looking check jerseys and warm flannel coats with straight lines and practical hoods. Each of the label’s signature unlined tailored jackets, designed to be easy-to-wear yet classic, had matching elastic-waisted pants along the same theme. A wide range of knits included a gnarled twinset in black with hints of white and a mixed yarn sweater, partly fluffy, with a geometric pattern reminiscent of camouflage in a combination of black and brown.

More color came by way of the prints on the shirts of the season, inspired by the Charles Rennie Mackintosh style, featuring thistle motifs created by British textile designer Kelly Bailey thanks to a partnership with graphic design collective Fida.
When it came to the eveningwear, the collection would not have been complete without a kilt, of course. Paubert’s version was crafted from black cotton, with four cargo pockets atop, and designed to be paired with a red velvet jacket and traditional knee socks.
