My Unorthodox Life just dropped its second season, pulling viewers back into the fabulous world of Julia Haart, a woman who left her ultra-Orthodox Jewish community in Monsey, New York, to start a new life as a fashion mogul with her kids in New York City. Julia, as you probably know by now, was the former CEO of a large model management agency, Elite World Group, before she was fired by her estranged husband, Silvio Scaglia. (They're in the middle of divorce proceedings, BTW).

While Julia is clearly the star of the show, everyone also gets to learn more about her four kids, Batsheva, Shlomo, Miriam, and Aron, each of whom are on their own self-discovery journeys, trying to figure out how Judaism fits into their lives.

Understandably, people have a lot of questions about her kids, and specifically about her eldest son, Shlomo Haart, who starts going on more dates this season after previously revealing that the whole dating scene was hard for him to navigate.

Okay, but who is Shlomo Haart, exactly, and what's he doing now? Here’s what you need to know.

Shlomo initially stayed with his dad when Julia left.

Julia cut ties with her community in 2012, but she's still on good terms with her ex-husband, Yosef Hendler. Since Shlomo was still so young at the time, he stayed in Monsey with his dad, per Bustle.

Julia's youngest son, Aron, still lives with Yosef in Monsey. He occasionally will make appearances on the show, though.

He graduated from Columbia University.

But before he made it to Columbia, Shlomo actually had to take classes at Rockland Community College, per Bustle. He transferred to the elite New York university in 2018.

" I joined the Honors Program and I worked very hard to improve my skills. I wasn’t ashamed to use the Tutoring Center, in fact I was there almost every day," Shlomo told Hillel Rockland. "I also was very involved with Hillel and the Friends of Israel Club, which gave me a good balance between my studies and being social. If you want to succeed, set a goal and work towards it, and make sure to have fun at the same time!"

According to his LinkedIn profile, Shlomo received a BA in political science and government from Columbia University last year. Worth noting: He also served as a treasurer in Students Supporting Israel (SSI) at school.

At his 2021 graduation, Julia shared on Instagram that he was the first person from his high school to go to college. Way to go, Shlomo!

How old is Shlomo?

He just turned 27 last month.

What does Shlomo do for work?

It’s not clear what he's up to these days, and he hasn’t updated his LinkedIn profile in a while. It's likely he has been busy with production for the new season of My Unorthodox Life, plus, things are probably pretty hectic with his mom's messy divorce and legal battles.

That being said, Shlomo has suggested on the show that he’s interested in going to law school. So, stay tuned on the career front.

Shlomo is a big dancer and traveler.

He told Hillel Rockland that while he wouldn't be pursuing dance as a career, he would still take opportunities to enjoy the activity. Apparently, he "took Latin dance at RCC and I might take a dance class at Columbia," the publication said.

He's also clearly a world traveler, posting about his journeys on Instagram. Sometimes, it's Paris with his mom, other times it's Milan or hikes in New Zealand.

He’s diving into the dating world in NYC.

Shlomo shared in season 1 that he was still a virgin and his very first kiss was captured during filming for the series. Shlomo has also joked on Instagram about feeling awkward in the dating scene—especially with cameras in his face:

Is Shlomo still dating Mariana Ling?

So, to recap, season 2 shows Shlomo going on a date with one of his sister Miriam's friends, Mariana Ling. But it doesn’t seem like they’re still together now. The date seemed pretty awkward (which Miriam and her girlfriend Nathalie Ulander commented on) and the duo didn't seem to really hit it off.

Mariana recently dropped a video clip from her TV date in her Instagram Stories, but aside from that, Shlomo doesn’t appear on her Instagram.

What’s his net worth?

It’s not clear what Shlomo’s net worth is—he just graduated from college, after all. But his mom was worth a reported $600 million prior to her divorce and the legal battles that have followed. So, that may have changed since it was last reported.
