Vacheron Constantin and The Met Museum Unveil New Phase in Ongoing Partnership
Swiss watch brand Vacheron Constantin and New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art have extended their multiyear partnership aimed at encouraging artistic innovation while celebrating cultural legacies.
The partnership commits to support a multitude of activities aligned with The Met’s mission and encompasses various collaborations, including an artist-in-residence program, other educational initiatives, special events and the creation of Vacheron Constantin watches inspired by works of art in the museum’s collection.

The first project is an extension of the “Masterpiece on Your Wrist” program, which offers Vacheron Constantin’s clients the possibility of creating a single-piece edition Les Cabinotiers watch, with a dial that will feature an enamel reproduction of a museum artwork chosen by the client. The program was originally launched in 2019.
Some of the chosen works of art offered within the program include paintings such as “Wheat Field With Cypresses” by Vincent van Gogh, “Bridge Over a Pond of Water Lilies” by Claude Monet and “Northeaster” by Winslow Homer and sculptures such as “Diana” by Augustus Saint-Gaudens.
The program also offers unique pieces from the Métiers d’Art department, including miniature enamel painting and grisaille enameling.
“We are delighted to partner with Vacheron Constantin and are grateful for their support of The Met’s mission, which aligns with the esteemed watchmaker’s own longstanding efforts to celebrate creativity and preserve artistic traditions. We look forward to collaborating on a number of unique projects that build on our mutual commitment to education and the arts,” Max Hollein, The Met’s Marina Kellen French director and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
Clients are invited to take a private tour of the Met with its curators to get a look at the collection’s offerings, and are able to travel to Geneva to meet the artisans and watchmakers behind the project.
