Up until a few years ago, I never owned slippers. Quite honestly, I didn’t much see the point—wouldn’t wearing fuzzy socks work just as well? Then I left an apartment with wall-to-wall carpet for one with slick hardwood floors, and before I knew it, I was buying slippers on slippers so I could stay warm through the winter without skidding across said flooring. Recently, I’ve gravitated toward what I consider the *chef’s kiss* of cozy footwear, and they’re none other than the Ugg Scuffette II slippers.

I’ve been a fan of Ugg boots for close to two decades, so it’s really no wonder that I finally own a pair of their winter-worthy slippers, too. I prefer scuffs, so the Scuffette II slippers were the obvious choice for me to try. They’re crafted in soft suede with the brand’s super-recognizable, plush sheepskin lining, which is found not just in the soles but along the foldover collars, too. The mules are finished with rounded toes, exposed seaming across the top, and open-back heels. They come in a wide variety of colors—13, to be exact—including neutrals like black, taupe, and navy, and bolder hues like pinkish red and mauve, in sizes 5 through 12.

I’ve found myself sliding into these slippers most mornings immediately after getting out of bed, thanks to their, well, slip-on silhouette—no offense to my multitudes of closed-toe slippers, but these ones definitely make it easier to get up and go. I own them in the espresso shade, which is a cross between deep brown and charcoal gray, and I’m definitely eyeing them chestnut brown, too. (Hey, a gal’s gotta have options.) I’m a pretty true size 6, and the 6 fits perfectly—they stay on my feet without slipping, sliding, or falling off.

While I’ve always loved Ugg, it is a somewhat polarizing brand—though it’s been spotted on dozens of celebs, including Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, Nicole Kidman, and Katie Holmes. And we’re certainly not alone, since these slippers have racked up more than 18,000 five-star ratings. Dozens of shoppers raved about their softness and comfort; reviewers said they “can't wait to put them on in the mornings” and that they’re “so wonderfully warm and cozy.” Another shopper said they “look forward to getting home at the end of the day to take [their] shoes off and put them on,” adding that they’re “like walking on a cloud.”
