This Viral iPhone 15 Starbucks Hack Is Absolutely Essential
Although we still don't have flying cars or a Dunkin' on Mars, there's a new Starbucks hack that has us feeling like we're finally in the future.
In a recent video, TikToker @b_turner50 shared how he uses the new iPhone 15 Pro to place a Starbucks order with just one push of a button.
"Obviously, I had all these crazy automation ideas, but what I settled on is kind of embarrassing. But I like it, so I'm gonna show it to you anyway. So I have it running a series shortcut that basically does three or four different things based on where I am or what time it is. And the number one thing that I use this for is to order my Starbucks," he explained.
Available on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, the Action Button replaces the ring/silent switch, and can be used to program just about anything on the phone. For @b_turner50, that includes ordering a blonde roast or a customized chai latte when he's within a set distance from a Starbucks location.
"I know this sounds ridiculous, but it works so well. I walk by the same Starbucks every day, so if I push the Action Button when I'm within 100 meters of that Starbucks, it'll queue up my order at that Starbucks," the TikToker revealed.
Needless to say, some people on TikTok were left with a few questions, specifically ones about whether or not the convenience of the feature affects his spending habits.
"The functionality is undeniable, question is does it impact your spending habits?" one person asked.
@b_turner50 revealed that he'd likely be going to Starbucks anyways, so if anything, he's saving a bit of time.
Others were waiting for a TikTok that includes a step-by-step breakdown of how exactly to order Starbucks using one push of the iPhone action button.
"Tutorial please," said one user.
"Can you make a video on how you do this?" another person added.
