Happy October, Virgo. This month means Halloween, spooky Scorpio season, and big moves from the goth planet Pluto. September brought a stressful lunar eclipse, which could have brought an issue to a head. While it was in reality, a long time coming, this could have brought about an ending in your life that felt unexpected. On Wednesday, October 2, we're rocked with a new moon and another eclipse. However, this one is a solar eclipse, which is associated with beginnings. You'll still want to take it easy, as eclipses are high-octane cosmic events that leave you feeling on edge. But keep an eye on your inbox, as unexpected opportunities may come up. Just remember that like, with last month's eclipse, even when these seem to come out from nowhere, in reality, they're the result of lots of hard work.

A week later, on Wednesday, October 9, Jupiter, the planet of expansion, goes retrograde in your 10th House of Social Status. This backward dance lasts through February 2025. With lucky Jupiter retrograde in your 10th House, you're asked to reconsider what success means to you. While the results of this retrograde won't be as pronounced as the effects of Mercury retrograde, you will see a shift in professional goals. You may surprise yourself by losing interest in one thing when you fall in love with something else, perhaps stemming from a creative hobby. The key to making your dreams come true, even if they are unexpected, is allowing yourself to change. You're a mutable sign, meaning that you do adapt well, even if as the hermit of the zodiac, doing so feels scary at first.

Shortly after Jupiter goes retrograde, Pluto, the intense makeover planet, goes direct in your pleasurable 5th House, starting on Friday, October 11. With the transformative planet now direct in your 5th House, your love and sex life should start to resemble your fantasies more closely. However, even more importantly, this month continues Pluto's reentry into Capricorn, which began last month, before shifting back into Aquarius in November, where it will then stay until 2043. Pluto's brief re-entry into Capricorn gives you an opportunity to tie up loose ends. Think back to any life chapters that began in 2008. Soon, those will be coming to a close. What's coming next is exciting and lovely, and for the best, but you may also experience some nostalgia this month as that chapter ends.

But back to the more day-to-day shifts happening this month. On Sunday, October 13, the divine messenger Mercury slides into intense Scorpio, affecting your 3rd House of Communication. This could lead to fights, dirty talk, or, honestly, both. It's important to get plenty of sleep while Mercury is in Scorpio, or else you could say something that you regret. The vibe is very passionate.

However, any arguments (even if they come with hot makeup sex) should be resolved by the time the planet of love Venus moves into your cozy 4th House of Family on Thursday, October 17. This transit could see casual hook-ups becoming more serious. And, if you're in a long-term relationship, you're reinvigorated with a reminder of why you're together. If you're single, celibate, or asexual, know that Venus loves all types of relationships.

Any disagreements that do occur will be for the sake of getting rid of built-up tension and wiping the slate clean.

There's also an Aries full moon in Aries lighting up your 8th House of Sex, Death, and Transformation on Thursday, October 17. Honestly, even with Venus in your safety-oriented 4th House, this lunation could lead to even more passionate fights. The good news is that the 8th House is associated with change and clearing, so any disagreements that do occur will be for the sake of getting rid of built-up tension and wiping the slate clean. But still, make sure to get plenty of rest so that cooler heads prevail.
