The Oscars red carpet never fails to disappoint fans looking to indulge in this season's most coveted — and expensive — designs in fashion.
As as the most important awards ceremony and red carpet in the world, the Academy Awards is always filled with decadent couture designs and glamorous high fashion looks. From Chanel to Gucci and Valentino to Versace, many celebrities hit the carpet this year ready to fight for the title of best dressed, while others fell short.

We’ve gathered some of our favourite looks (and those that fell flat) from this year's red carpet event, and want Yahoo Canada readers to weigh in, too.
Have your say on who was this years best and worst dressed star, below. We'll announce the results on Monday.
BEST: Amanda Seyfried in Armani
The "Mank" actress and first-time Oscar nominee channelled old-Hollywood glamour in a cherry-coloured gown with plunging neckline.
WORST: Halle Berry in Dolce & Gabbana
The 2002 Best Actress Oscar winner made a rare fashion misstep in her strapless orchid-coloured gown and unkempt hairdo.
BEST: Regina King in Louis Vuitton
Regina King proved why she's a red carpet favourite with this art-deco inspired gown with bold shoulder detail.
WORST: Laura Dern in Oscar de la Renta
Dern may have been an Oscar-winner in 2020 for her role in "A Marriage Story" but her feather duster gown was a red carpet loser.
BEST: Carey Mulligan in Valentino
Mulligan was manifesting a potential Oscar win with her stunning gold Valentino two-piece.
WORST: Viola Davis in Alexander McQueen
Despite hitting all the fashion high notes during this year's award's season, we're sad to say this McQueen gown was a low moment for Davis.
BEST: Angela Bassett in Alberta Ferretti
Bassett looked like a gift from the fashion gods in her bold Alberta Ferretti gown.
WORST: Glenn Close in Armani Privé
Although Close's gloves are practical during COVID-times, this tunic and pantsuit look should have been left in lockdown.
BEST: Maria Bakalova in Louis Vuitton
The "Borat" star and Best Supporting Actress nominee looked picture-perfect in a custom gown by Louis Vuitton.
WORST: Vanessa Kirby in Gucci
A pale pink column gown has been done time and time again on the Oscar red carpet - making Kirby's iteration a disappointing moment on a long-awaited red carpet.
