Vote: Best and worst dressed star of the week (Mar. 1)

The Oscars may have come and gone, but the fashions remain up for debate!

From the Oscar’s biggest parties to Paris Fashion Week, the past week delivered an abundance of stand-out celebrity looks.

We’ve rounded up some of the most memorable fashion highs and lows from the past several days, and now we’re asking our Yahoo Canada readers to choose their best and worst dressed star of the week.

Anyone we missed? Let us know in the comments below and make sure to check back here every week for your next chance to vote.

We’ll announce the winners (and losers) every Monday.

BEST: Brie Larson

Captain Marvel-lous! The latest star of the Marvel comic universe wore a custom blue Valentino gown to her film’s London premiere looking every inch the part of Earth’s mightiest hero. From the superhero blue to the gold detailing, Larson’s latest look is out of this world.

WORST: Halsey

The “Bad at Love” singer might be bad at fashion, too. The star looked like she had her very on Scarlett O’Hara moment at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, opting for a dress by Vivienne Westwood that looked like it was once a pair of curtains.

BEST: Selma Blair

Back and looking better than ever! The “Legally Blonde” star went all out for her first red carpet appearance since revealing she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in a gown by Ralph and Russo. The colourful gown was a red carpet showstopper complete flowing cape and blinged-out cane.

WORST: Kim Kardashian West

The reality-star was spotted in Montreal wearing this gladiator-inspired look by Mugler, which unless you were a fan of vintage fashion, you would just think she was going to a toga party at a frat house. Lately Kardashian West’s clothing choices are purely to make it look like she’s a true high fashion lover, the same way people carry copies of “Infinite Jest” in public to show the rest of us that they’re serious about literature. We get it.

BEST: Cara Delavingne

Take notes for spring: Pink is in. The model and Dior beauty ambassador expertly pulled off the colour of the moment at the brand’s fashion show during Paris Fashion Week. The soft look showcased another trend in fashion, pleats!

WORST: Salma Hayek

Hayek’s fashion choices are what we will politely refer to as “quirky.” The actress recently arrived to the Saint Laurent show during Paris Fashion Week channelling her inner Carmen Sandiego. Where in the world is the right place to wear this look? Comic Con – and nowhere else.

BEST: Ellen Pompeo

The “Grey’s Anatomy” star ditched her scrubs to have a major fashion moment at the Vanity Fair Oscar party. Pompeo opted out of wearing a gown and sported a metallic red trouser and top by Sally LaPointe. The entire look came together with slicked back hair and bold statement earrings, making this Pompeo’s edgiest look to date.

WORST: Katy Perry

The “Teenage Dream” singer arrived to do press in New York City for “American Idol” wearing a big purple mess. The different ruffles and shades of purple completely overwhelm the star and take away from Perry’s beauty. There’s a way to show personality and play with colour without looking like you’re wearing a costume – and this definitely isn’t it.

BEST: Naomi Campbell

From head-to-toe, Campbell’s entire look at the Vanity Fair Oscars party is perfection. The Alexander McQueen dress contains so much detail and intricate embroidery, but doesn’t overwhelm the iconic supermodel who expertly pulls off this gown. Campbell’s hair, makeup and accessories work so well with the look, it’s clear to see why she’s one of the best in fashion.

WORST: Taraji P Henson

While I’m a big fan of jumpsuits, the cut and colour of this Rouland Mouret look doesn’t seem to flatter Henson whatsoever. The actress sported the look to the Vanity Fair Oscar party, but it’s not the level of red carpet mastery we’ve come to expect from the “What Men Want” star. A richer colour and different make-up would have been an improvement, and not washed her out.
