OperaLex is offering bourbon and opera fans a chance at five bottles in a drawing that ends on Father’s Day, June 16.
The non-profit, which supports the University of Kentucky Opera Theatre, is raffling a collection worth an estimated $1,500.
The flight includes Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year, Van Winkle Family Reserve 12 Year, Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 15 Year, Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 20 Year Old and Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 23 Year, courtesy of presenting sponsor Liquor Barn.
Only up to 1,200 tickets are available. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased online through OperaLex.org or bidpalnet/loveyourpappy.
There also will be tickets sold in person at the Hamburg Liquor Barn on the afternoon of June 1, with opera students on hand to give a preview of the upcoming “Grand Night for Singing,” the annual show presented by the University of Kentucky Opera Theatre.
You must be 21 to purchase tickets. The raffle closes at 5:15 p.m. on June 16; winner will notified to pick up the bottles in person, but tickets may be purchased from anywhere.
