Hilton Head Island has a plethora of cuisines for everyone, but some individuals prefer to enjoy this summer holiday with a simple hot dog.

Recently, Food & Wine detailed that hot dogs reign as the superior Fourth of July food, ranking just over hamburgers.

Looking to find the best on the island, Yelp ranked these establishments as the top two restaurants on Hilton Head for hot dogs.

Street Meet

Located on the north end of the island, Street Meet is an American tavern that serves bar favorites as well as renowned hot dogs. Self-described “as American as Apple Pie,” the locale provides Hofmann Franks and Nathan’s skinless all beef hot dogs and has been hailed for having “the best hot dog for the last six years.”

Street Meet can be found in Port Royal Plaza at 95 Mathews Drive, Suite #D11 and is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Southern Coney and Breakfast

Southern Coney and Breakfast is located on the south end of the island at 70 Pope Avenue in the Coligny Plaza area. The popular establishment is an American-style cafe and diner that offers vegan and vegetarian options for its guests and serves a variety of breakfast and brunch specials admired by locals and visitors alike.
