You've probably started your wishlist of everything you're hoping to buy once Amazon Prime Day 2024 kicks off next week (the sales extravaganza runs from July 16-17). But did you know the mega-retailer is looking to give you money as we speak? Yes, you can score $20 worth of Amazon credit, and you don't have to jump through a zillion hoops to get it, either. Just upload a photo to the Amazon Photos app, and, well, yeah, that's it.

Okay, there are a few caveats, but they're pretty straightforward. First, you have to be an Amazon Prime member, but if you're planning on making the most of this year's Prime Day deals, you'll need to have a membership anyway. (Sorry, free trials don't count — you'll have to be an actual member.) Second, this offer only applies to people who are using Amazon Photos for the first time.

So, if you're a full-fledged Prime member who hasn't used the Amazon Photos app before, you're golden! Keep scrolling for the full nitty-gritty:

Amazon is offering $20 worth of Amazon credit to new Amazon Photos users who upload at least one photo to the app before 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on July 12.

Once your photo has been uploaded, you'll receive an email from Amazon within four days saying your $20 credit has been applied to your account. That means you'll be able to use your credit towards Prime Day purchases, woohoo!

As mentioned, only Amazon Prime members who have not used Amazon Photos qualify, and free trial memberships are ineligible.

Amazon Photos is an app you can use to organize, share and back up photos and videos. You can also easily order prints of your photos through the app, or use them as screensavers for your electronic devices.

You can download the app for free and get 5 GB of combined photo and video storage. For more storage, plans start at $1.99 per month.

You can use your $20 credit to purchase items from Amazon.com and Amazon Digital Services. You'll need to spend at least $30 before taxes and shipping to use the credit, and products sold by third-party sellers, even Prime-eligible ones, are excluded from this offer.

The $20 credit expires on July 17 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time, which is also the last day of Prime Day ... so get clickin'!
