  • Kaley Cuoco is totally crushing her first pregnancy workout back in the gym, and she's got the Instagram videos to prove it.

  • The actress has always been big on her fitness game, so she was excited to get back into her routines with her trainer.

  • Kaley has previously shared that she eats a ton of healthy foods to fuel up for her big workouts.

Actress Kaley Cuoco is on the road to being one very strong mom. The actress, 36, announced in October 2022 that she was pregnant with her first baby, a girl, with her partner Tom Pelphrey, 40. And now, she's sharing her pregnancy fitness journey (and getting back into her regular routines) with her trainer.

While Kaley has previously posted about her sweat seshes on the 'gram, this time, she took to Instagram to post a quick IG Story about her foray back to the gym after four months away. Specifically, she blessed her followers with a peek into her pregnancy workout with her trainer, Ryan Sorensen.

"Haven't done a squat in 5 months LOL," she captioned the first clip in her story. In the pic and videos, Kaley (and baby bump) is rocking a lavender crop top and black Nike shorts while holding a heavy kettlebell and doing some weighted squats. She does several reps in the clip. Here's the evidence:

In the second video, Kaley threw on a hoodie and starts hitting the SkiErg machine, pumping her arms up and getting some hard cardio with every arm stroke. "New gym, new body LOL," she captioned another video.

Kaley has shared in previous Instagram Stories that she was "horribly sick" throughout her first trimester of pregnancy, sharing throwback photos of herself sleeping "every day between setups” while working on her new movie Role Play.

But working out during pregnancy is totally safe if you are healthy and your pregnancy is "normal," according to the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG). It does not increase your risk of miscarriage, low birth weight, or early delivery. However, you should still discuss your options with your doctor. ACOG also notes that pregnant women should get at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity every week. And regular exercise during pregnancy has tons of benefits, such as:

  • Reduces back pain

  • Eases constipation

  • May decrease your risk of gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and cesarean birth

  • Promotes healthy weight gain during pregnancy

  • Improves your overall fitness and strengthens your heart and blood vessels

  • Helps you to lose the baby weight after your baby is born

Kaley's workouts pre-pregnancy were always super hardcore, so it makes sense she was excited to get back on her grind. Earlier this year, she got in a workout with actress Monette Moio from Sorensen that included banded squat hops, single leg Bulgarian split squats, traveling jump rope, single leg medicine ball slams, planks with rotating presses, walking elevated planks, medicine ball speed skaters and more core work.

Another workout in 2021 included running on the treadmill, medicine ball speed work, jump rope, medicine ball slams, weighted abs with overhead presses, planks, kettlebell swings and time on the Versa Climber. (PHEW!)

Kaley recently told Women's Health all about her daily diet, which includes a lot of healthy options. Breakfast is usually an oat milk latte with toast and peanut butter, followed by a tuna salad or wrap for lunch. Dinner is often grilled salmon with baked potatoes and veggies. Yum!

I have a feeling everyone will be seeing lots more pregnancy workouts in the near future. Congrats, Kaley!
