How To Watch Leo Woodall in ‘Prime Target’ On Appl Apple TV+

Another week, another big espionage-y TV series. This time it’s The White Lotus’ Leo Woodall who steps into the lead role in a new secret services thriller, Prime Target.

The eight-part series – written by Vienna Blood’s Steve Thompson – will premieres on Apple TV+ and also stars the likes of David Morrissey, Stephen Rea, Quintessa Swindell and Martha Plimpton.

Could this be Woodall unofficially throwing his hat into the ring for Bond? Here's everything you need to know about his new thriller.

What’s the big idea?

Woodall plays Edward Brooks, a brainbox mathematician studying at Cambridge who is on the verge of a big discovery. It's something to do with prime numbers! And patterns! But he’s told angrily by his professor (Morrissey) that he needs to drop it – now.

It turns out he’s in big danger, as his breakthrough would mean that he holds the key to unlocking every computer in the world. There’s an unseen enemy with tabs on him, who will stop at nothing to take him out to halt his discovery.

Up steps NSA agent, Taylah Sanders (Swindell) who reveals that she’s been tailing him for some time now, and they’re going to have to work together to get to the bottom of the dangerous conspiracy that PHD-level maths has plunged them into.

How to watch Prime Target for free

The first two episodes will stream on Apple TV+ from 22 January then each remaining episode will air weekly until the finale.

The last episode streams on 5 March, so if you can hold out until then, Apple TV+ is still running its seven-day free trial to the service, so there’s a whole week to binge the entire season. Alternatively, you can use the free trial to see if it's your cup of tea before you commit.

But if you’re due for an upgrade on an iPhone or any other Apple device – or have bought one in the last 90 days – you’ll get free Apple TV+ for three months, which should take you well beyond the finale, giving you time to enjoy other recent Apple TV+ shows and films like Severance season 2, Slow Horses season 4, Silo season 2 and Blitz.
