This way to see Reese Witherspoon with a fresh lob haircut

Medium-length hair has had a bad rep. It was once a run-of-the-mill, in-between style, neither here, nor there—to chop or to grow, t'was the question. However, in recent years, colour-bone length locks have had an overhaul with everything from shags to blowouts and even choppy waves contributing to their re-up. One celebrity proving its comeback? Why, Reese Witherspoon, of course, stepping out with a recent lob chop.

Last night (January 28) over in the Big Apple, Reese attended a screening of the upcoming film You're Cordially Invited, in which she stars alongside Will Ferrell. And while she looked stunning in a coordinated peplum two-piece (FYI: peplum is back and better than ever), it was her noticeably shorter hair length that had us in awe.

As shown in the pap snaps below, the actor stepped out with a fresh lob (aka, long bob) haircut, that sits perfectly at colour-bone length.

Oh, and for context, here's a pic of Reese's once chest-length tresses:

Now, while it's not a chin-grazing chop, what's appealing about this short-ish style is its versatility. Whether it's cut with a blunt, immaculate finish or a choppy graduated flick (like Reese's), medium-length hair can be worn so many ways, meaning that it's non-committal. A win-win, if you ask me!

Side note: Steer clear of the layers as they'll make your hair kick outwards and look dated.

So, have I convinced ya? Well, the next time you have the urge to switch up your 'do, trial a lob before committing to a super short cut. You can thank me later...
