Famous for her chart-topping songs “Since U Been Gone” and “Because of You,” as well as her nationwide talk show, Kelly Clarkson is on a roll with her collaboration with Boston-based home furnishings and decor giant Wayfair.
On Monday, Wayfair revealed the launch of The Montana Collection by Kelly Clarkson Home, which is inspired by the star’s ranch home in Montana. Personally selected by Clarkson, who is also the retailer’s official brand ambassador, the collection expands the existing Kelly Clarkson Home line with hundreds of new furniture and decor pieces that the firm describes as rustic and inspired by vintage classics and antique details. The singer, songwriter, author and television personality rose to fame after winning the first season of “American Idol” in 2002. She is the host of “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” which airs on U.S. television network NBC.

“Montana is home for me and my kids,” Clarkson said in a statement. “The Montana Collection is a reflection of my sanctuary and I hope it inspires everyone to explore new ways to make their homes truly their own.”
Spanning numerous categories, living room, dining room, bedroom and home office furniture as well as textiles, lighting and decor, The Montana Collection includes cozy faux fur pieces and furnishings made with distressed wood.
Kelly Clarkson Home was launched more than three years ago and has grown her image beyond the stage. Past collections were inspired by Southern living and French country. “Kelly’s authentic style and personality have truly shined through, and that’s what our customers love most about her top-selling home line,” noted Jon Blotner. Wayfair’s chief commercial officer in the statement.
Wayfair said it generated $11.9 billion in net revenue for its fiscal year ended June 30. The company is headquartered in Boston with European corporate headquarters in Berlin. Founded in 2002, Wayfair said it is home to 40 million products and serves 21.8 million customers.
Celebrity home collaborations are also on the rise. Last week Paris Hilton told WWD that she and her next-gen media company 11:11 Media have teamed with Walmart to exclusively launch her Be An Icon collection of kitchen and home products. The collaboration will introduce a suite of cookware, bakeware, serve ware, cutlery, drinkware and accessories. Actor and culinary extraordinaire Stanley Tucci also recently teamed with Williams-Sonoma to create Tucci by GreenPan, a line of pots and pans.
