Set a stylish table for less than your morning coffee with these high-end, low-cost finds.
You might think of Dollar Tree as a place to scoop up wallet-friendly gifting essentials, party supplies and the occasional snack. But anyone who's spent enough time in the store knows there's a lot more to be discovered in those overstuffed aisles, including one of our favorite hidden-gem categories: the home goods.

Royal Norfolk Ceramic Red Embossed Mugs
This is especially true of Dollar Tree's dining and kitchenware collections where, on any given day, you can nab beautiful — and surprisingly affordable — stemless wine glasses, patterned stoneware and ceramic mugs. Read on for eight Dollar Tree dupes that will give your space an elevated feel for a mere fraction of what you'd spend at a high-end home store.
A quick note before you dive in: Given its low prices, Dollar Tree requires customers to purchase some items in higher quantities. For example, you may have to buy a dozen plates when you only need eight. But considering each piece only costs $1.25, you're still getting a bargain — potentially with a few extra items should anything break or go missing. Choose "free in-store pickup" at checkout to avoid paying for shipping.
First up: the Royal Norfolk Solid White Square Dinnerware Collection, featuring dinner plates, side plates, bowls and mugs in a classic white glaze combined with squared edges for a contemporary twist. It's clean. It's versatile. It reminds us of this set from Dillard's, which rings in at $160 (versus the $20 it would cost if you purchased the same amount of this Dollar Tree dupe).
Check out Royal Norfolk's round ceramic plates for more of a traditional shape with a modern — and slightly rustic — glaze. They're similar to a minimalist West Elm dinnerware set that I own and use regularly (without the $13 per plate cost). Consider some gold-plated chargers or shiny new silverware to complete the scene.
For a pop of pattern, we're loving the striking contrast of black and white in this "dashed" dinnerware collection. It consists of dinner plates, side plates and bowls, perfect for peppering in with your other pieces. This particular print reminds us of some Crate & Barrel designs we've seen.
Pub glasses are a kitchen staple, perfect for water, juice, beer and beyond. This Dollar Store dupe looks awfully similar to these Williams-Sonoma pint glasses, but you don't have to shell out the big bucks.
A little texture goes a long way in a tablescape, and these glass coolers make it easier (read: cheaper) than ever to add interest and dimension. I splurged on some hammered glasses from Pottery Barn, similar in style to the design shown here, a few years back and they've elevated my day-to-day. They're also a hit with guests when I host the occasional dinner or soirée.
Make it a double — for only $2.50 — with these old fashioned glasses. The Dollar Tree dupes are more shapely and bottom-heavy than traditional old fashioned silhouettes for a more modern look and an easier grip. If I didn't know any better, I might guess they were from CB2 or another high-end retailer.
A stemless glass captures the elegance of a traditional wine glass but is less high-stakes, particularly helpful for those with kids around or who happen to be a bit clumsy (like me). This set mirrors other, more expensive options on the market, like this nearly identical CB2 version. If history is any indication, Dollar Tree always carries this style, so it's easy to restock if you expect extra guests or a glass breaks. (And like CB2, Dollar Tree also offers a smoky version for something a bit more edgy.)
Royal Norfolk's red ceramic mugs are the epitome of cozy chic (they remind me of mugs I love to use around the holidays). They'll brighten your and your guests' mornings for pennies compared to what you'd expect to pay for Perigold or Le Creuset. Plus they make great gifts!
