Perfect for working out, the Reebok HIIT Training Shoes are designed to support the movements of high-intensity interval training. Whether you’re trying to keep up with the pace during jump squats and burpees, or breaking a sweat on the treadmill, the shoe includes innovative features to help cater to support and comfort. The mesh upper pillow around the collar helps for a more locked-in fit, while the outsole is made with two high-performance rubbers to help grip on slippery gym floors and a pivot proto to increase control of lateral movement.

Reebok’s HIIT Training Shoes are available in two versatile colours and retails for only $120. Here are our thoughts.

After a four-month hiatus from working out, I decided to kickstart the new decade the right way by putting my monthly gym membership to good use. Just in time, too, because on day two of my refined workout schedule, I received Rebook’s HIIT Training Shoes in Black. While they looked pretty sleek and lightweight, I didn’t think much of them at first. I thought they’d do the job like the few training shoes I already owned. But to my surprise, unlike other pairs, immediately noticed the sock-like hug and arch support that these shoes offered — I have muscular dystrophy and I feel like I can walk in them for hours and then some. And because they offer impeccable stability and comfort, I honestly feel like they have already grown with me in my fitness journey I’m talking from the weight machinery at the gym to squeaky floors of the Zumba classroom to the treadmills in the infamous Red Room of Barry’s Boot Camp. I feel super confident wearing them.

When it comes to the gym, I tend to stick to lower-impact workouts like ballet, yoga, or pilates as my preferred workouts of choice. I’m fully aware of the benefits of cardio though, so I’ve been working to include more of it into my routine and these shoes might just be the motivation I need to stick with it. I’ve worn them running errands around town and to a Zumba class, and even with my custom insoles in place they’re some of the most comfortable training shoes I’ve ever worn.

They’re super lightweight, easy to slip on and off thanks to a stretch upper construction, and have a sock-like inner layer that keeps them in place with every step. My only issue is that I’m still not sure whether or not I’m supposed to be wearing socks underneath or if I should be barefoot, but the jury’s still out on that one.

While some of my colleagues hit the gym regularly and were able to use that avenue to test these shoes out, I ran into a challenge because I am the laziest person ever and I refuse to workout — besides walking. So for this review, I’m here to offer the Lazy Woman’s Perspective. I’ve worn these out for errands and even to a trivia night at the local pub, and while I was worried they wouldn’t look right on me, I was actually surprised with how much I liked the fit and style. I have super flat feet and often find that trainers have too high of an arch for me and cause foot pain — but these were ultra comfortable immediately.

When the weather gets nicer, I can see myself wearing these as my go-to shoes for my daily one-hour walk to and from work. As Kate mentioned, they come complete with a sock-like layer that keeps them from moving around too much — but like her, I’m a little confused as to whether I’m supposed to wear these with or without socks. I did find that when I wore these without a sock, even in the winter, my feet did get a bit sweaty, so I’ll probably split the difference and go with a sockette — but I think that really comes down to personal preference.

Zara jeans and Reebok? A match made in heaven.

The Reebok HIIT Training shoes would definitely be ideal for indoor or outdoor workouts. They’re light enough for running and have enough support for CrossFit workouts or general weight training. Unfortunately, my current schedule is a little too chaotic to take these babies to the gym right now, so instead of breaking a sweat, I put my pair through the paces in my day-to-day life.

I wore my pair of Reebok HIIT Training shoes in black around the office, while running errands and walking the dogs. They’re pretty comfortable - not quite as comfortable as my beloved Allbirds - but are definitely superior to the average training shoe thanks to their EVA foam cushioning in the sole.

Once things quiet down for me, I’m excited to try them out in the gym and see how they measure up in terms of grip and tread. Overall, I think this would be a great place to start if you’re looking for a shoe to help you get moving.

I don’t work out, but I do walk a lot. In fact, I recently went on a trip to Malta where my mother and I walked over 12 km a day, and these shoes were a GODSEND! For 10 days we walked up and down hilly paths and steps and not even once did I feel any pain or discomfort. Best of all, the top mesh is extremely breathable, so I never had any sweaty feet. I also developed a random blister on my toe a few days before leaving, and I was worried it would either hurt me the entire time, or would become a major issue during my trip, but it never bothered me.

It’s almost like the shoe molds to your foot, and makes sure you can whatever it is you set your sights on. It offers incredible support without being overly bulky. I can only imagine the wonders it does to people who actually exercise. BY FAR my new favourite walking shoe. In the words of Tina Turner: Simply the best!
