Wendy's Is Bringing Back Its Famous $3 Frosty Key Tags — Here's How to Get One
Say yes to year-round Frostys.
Get ready, Frosty fans, because it's nearly your time to shine.
On Wednesday, Wendy's revealed that the wait is "nearly" over for the return of the Frosty Key Tags. In fact, the fast food chain shared that they will be returning for purchase in restaurants and in-app on December 9.
If, for some ridiculous reason, you're not aware of the Frosty Key Tag, let us be the first to share this life-changing (at least for people who love desserts) news. Every year, Wendy's sells the Frosty Key Tag for just $3, and that tag gives Frosy fans access to free Jr. Frosty Treats with any purchase for an entire year. And best of all, as Wendy's explained, "Proceeds from each Frosty Key Tag sold will directly benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and its commitment to find safe, loving, and permanent homes for children waiting in foster care."

Anyone can purchase a Frosty Key Tag from December 9 through February 16, 2025, at all participating U.S. Wendy's locations. To redeem your Jr. Frosty with any purchase, you can use your physical keychain in stores or use your digital version (which sure, works the same, but just feels less fun) in the Wendy's app.
You also don't need to keep this all to yourself.
"Wendy's Frosty Key Tags are beloved by fans of all ages as a personal gift or stocking stuffer for family and friends," Wendy's shared in a statement. "Share sweet season's greetings with the community through Frosty Key Tags — from the mail carrier to teacher to a stranger in a grocery store — everyone is sure to love this year-round treat." Or, you know, for your favorite Food & Wine writer … just saying.
To get one, just go to your neighborhood Wendy's to get a physical keychain, or if you have the mobile app open that and purchase a digital Frosty Key Tag there. If you're looking to get one for everyone in your office or for all your family and friends, you can also put in a bulk order at the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption website.
