Wendy’s is offering customers a sweet investment into their future desserts.

The fast food chain’s beloved Frosty Key Tag is back for Frosty fans again in 2025, with the $3 key tag entitling customers to one free Jr. Frosty every visit for the entirety of the year.

The new $3 Key Tag is extra sweet for customers. Previously, the key tag unlocked one free Frosty every day, but this year’s iteration provides customers with one free Frosty with every visit.

Customers can snag a Frosty Key Tag starting on Monday, Dec. 9 through Saturday, Feb. 15, but the sooner fans hope on the purchase the better. The free Frosty deal starts when guests have the tag, so the freebie can start as soon as Dec. 9, and is redeemable through Dec. 31, 2025.

Unlike other years, this year’s Key Tag can be used more than once daily. The offer is valid once per visit and requires a purchase. But the physical key tag can be used as soon as you’d like for another visit and the digital key will refresh in the app “in about an hour or so,” according to Wendy’s website, so fans can go back for seconds (or thirds).

The Frosty Key Tag, available in physical or digital versions like previous years, can be purchased in a few ways.

In stores and on the app, fans can add digital or physical tags when placing an order under the “Give Something Back” menu category. Customers can also buy physical key tags in bulk on the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption website. In both cases, Wendy’s gives 90% of every tag sold to the adoption foundation.

As of the time of publication, the key tag can even be used to score Wendy’s salted caramel Frosty. The fall-inspired menu item was introduced on Nov. 12 and replaced the vanilla Frosty upon arrival. While it is unclear just how much longer the limited-time flavor will be around, Wendy’s suggests trying the treat with the key tag “before it’s gone,” according to a release.

For more Wendy’s deals, fans can score a Spicy Chicken Sandwich for $4 every day in the restaurant’s app now through Dec. 29.

The Spicy Chicken Sandwich packs a piece of spicy breaded chicken, lettuce and tomato on a mayonnaise-coated bun and and can go for upward of $7 without the discount.
