Whatcom Roundup: Dick’s Drive-In in town for a day; Thai restaurant opens new Lynden location

Bellingham restaurant expanding to Lynden
On Rice Thai Cuisine, a restaurant with three locations in Bellingham has now filed a for a restaurant permit in Lynden. The restaurant is planned to be at 312 Front St., the previous location of JoFish Seafood and Grill. No opening date has been announced. The permit was filed on Nov. 13 and was not approved as of Nov. 27.
Dick’s burgers coming to Bellingham
Dick’s Drive-In, one of Washington’s well-known burger chains, will be having a pop-up in Bellingham next week.
The popular restaurant’s food truck will be parked at Yeager’s Sporting Goods from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5. Yeager’s Sporting Goods is at 3101 Northwest Ave. in Bellingham.
