Rover came out with an all-new study revealing the most popular dog breeds in America, and the results are very interesting. The pet sitting site broke down popularity by the owner's location, generation, and more.
According to the study, the most popular dog breed is the faithful mutt, with 60% of dog owners surveyed saying they have a mixed breed dog. The top eight is rounded out with Labrador retriever, Goldendoodle, golden retriever, German shepherd, Chihuahua, Shih Tzu, and French bulldog.
The study also ranked the most popular dog for each zodiac sign. Once again, the mixed breed dog took the top spot for every category, but here are the most popular purebred dogs for each sign.
Aries: American Bulldog
Taurus: Chihuahua
Gemini: American Pit Bull Terrier and German Shepherd
Cancer: Shih Tzu
Leo: American Pit Bull Terrier
Virgo: Golden Retriever
Libra: Alaskan Husky
