Why Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli's Boyfriends Broke Up With Them After College Cheating Scandal
Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli's daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Giannulli have lost a lot in the college cheating scandal, but one of the most heartbreaking blows might have been their boyfriends ending things with them. Us Weeklygot a little intel on why the two girls' relationships imploded.
“[They] had boyfriends and both of them broke up with them,” a source told Us Weekly, noting that the sisters' parents' indictment in the college admission scandal-and the way it affected their daughters' lives-was “too much to deal with.” (Loughlin and Giannulli are accused of paying $500,000 to make it appear their daughters were rowing team recruits to guarantee their admission to USC.)
Bella had been dating Nick Penske; they were first linked in summer 2018, Us Weekly reported. The outlet pointed out that Bella had deleted her photos with him on her Instagram and unfollowed him on the app, the telltale public sign it's over. (Olivia Jade currently still follows his account.)
Olivia's relationship with her own boyfriend, Jackson Guthy, ended a few weeks before Bella's relationship did. Olivia had lived with Jackson immediately after the scandal, and it was all the drama that did them in as well.
“Jackson broke up with Olivia because it was all getting to be too much for him,” an insider told Us Weekly in a new report today. “It wasn’t necessarily affecting his career, but the fact that he couldn’t be seen out in public with Olivia was difficult.”
Us Weekly initially reported their breakup at the beginning of May, saying they remained friendly. “Olivia and Jackson have been cooling off for a couple months,” a separate source told the outlet then. “They aren’t together anymore, but are still very cordial and really do remain friends.”
Entertainment Tonightalso confirmed Olivia and Jackson's breakup last Friday and was told by its own source that it was unexpected. "Olivia’s friends were shocked when her relationship ended with her boyfriend because he was actually great for her and was a real support," the source said. "He's pretty low key and wanted to help her stay out of the limelight and move on."
