How to win a free real Christmas tree from B&Q
As households begin to deck the halls, B&Q is offering customers the chance to win a real Christmas tree.
To enter, simply spot one of B&Q's festive 'reindeer' lorries making their way across the UK and share your image on Instagram using the hashtag #Reindeerlivery. Winners will receive a £40 B&Q eGift Card which can be used to purchase a Christmas tree in store or on DIY.com.
New research conducted by B&Q found that almost a third (31 per cent) of Brits admit they typically put up two or more trees in their home, while over a third (38 per cent) of the population reveal they are more conscious of the cost of Christmas this year than last.
The research also found that almost a quarter (22 per cent) of the younger generation prefer the smell of real trees compared to their parent's generation (14 per cent), who still opt for artificial trees.
'It's been interesting to see the generational split emerging when it comes to their tree choice in the lead up to the big day. For many, choosing a tree marks the start of the festive season and brings the magic of Christmas to life,' says B&Q head of Christmas, Mairi Devlin.
