I Wish I Found These “Gorgeous” Living Room Chairs Sooner

Earlier this year, I found myself in a bit of a living room chair situation. I wanted to replace the worn bouclé chairs I had for several years, but nothing was speaking to me. I was also operating under a not-so-insignificant practical constraint: The door to my apartment building measures just 30 inches wide, meaning I’m limited in what I can bring into my home size-wise, even out of the box. Ultra-deep accent styles or sleeper chairs require the assistance of a professional “couch doctor,” and having paid that hefty fee once when buying my sofa, I can’t say I’m eager to do so again!

Many of the living room accent chairs I liked and fit my size constraints were also on the pricier side, often costing over $1,000 (plus white glove delivery). I’m a serial furniture shopper and rearranger, often selling pieces on secondhand websites when I tire of them and regularly tweaking my layout. So I try to steer clear of major investment pieces unless I know I’ll want to hold onto them for many years to come.

I also didn’t want to wait for weeks (or months!) on end for my chairs to arrive, so I started to narrow my search to quick-ship websites. I remembered discovering the Jennifer Taylor Home brand a few years back and decided to take a look at some of its current offerings, which is when I came across these stunning olive green accent chairs and knew immediately that they were the ones.

Priced at roughly $365 each, these chairs aren’t inexpensive, but they’re also more reasonable than many similar pieces of furniture on the market. They’re substantial in size, extremely comfortable to sit in, and really shine in my living room (a pop of green was exactly what my space needed!). The turned legs are gorgeous and add the right amount of traditional flair to my space, which features a mixture of contemporary and antique finds, and the material honestly reminds me of a fancy mohair, which does not run cheap. I’d estimate that a mohair chair like this would be four times the price!

When the chairs arrive, all you’ll need to do is attach the legs, and then you’re ready to sit back, relax, and enjoy your new, ultra-plush seating. I can often be found reading or watching TV in one of my chairs, and my guests have appreciated them, too!
