One woman is demonstrating her feelings about the importance of moving on despite losing a loved one.

In a now-viral TikTok video with more than 134,000 views, user named @coach_holly_ responds to a comment questioning her behavior following her husband’s recent death. "Your husband just died, why are you acting like everything is fine?" the comment reads, which Holly overlays on a video of herself baking a cake with her children.

In earlier videos, the mother of two shared that her husband died five months ago after being together for 9 years.

"Because he's not my God, because one guy dying isn't going to ruin the rest of my life," Holly, 28, says in a voiceover of the video of her and her kids. "One bad thing isn't going to ruin you either. What has happened that's led you to think that everything is feeling bad and dark and depression. You got to fix it, you got to root it out. You got to start walking toward something better."

She continues, "Stop living in the past, stop living in your head and start walking toward a better future and a better tomorrow because I promise you, if you will start looking forward to something and create a reason to wake up every day beyond just survival you will start to feel feelings of happiness and joy again."

Since posting, Holly's video has garnered more than 1,800 comments from people sharing their thoughts on the situation. Some users were quick to express concerns about how they perceived the mom coping with her grief.

"My husband died unexpectedly 4 years ago and never would I EVER refer to it as 'just one man dying.' It’s a whole life we had planned dying. I know that grief looks different for everyone, but wow!" one user replied. "Losing someone you love is more than just one bad thing happening," another person wrote.

"This feels like avoidance. As someone who had a similar mindset after losing her kids, it came back and bit me years later. I hope you let yourself feel it at some point. ❤️" another comment read.

Another reply said, "Denial is part of the process, remember to allow grief to come and go- you can’t live there but you can accept it and let it flow away now and then. You can be sad and happy, it’s ok."

But others spoke up in support of Holly for staying true to herself. "This honestly is so true—of course she misses her husband. But she knows her life isn’t over. Keep going; you and your family need you," another person chimed in. "Still finding joy in things and maintaining routine after loss is great!" another comment said.

Someone else continued, "Idk why people are upset. She still has to wake up and continue being a mom for her little children. I’m sure she misses her husband but life goes on. She can’t mentally go off the deep end."
