An engagement was made even more special when the bride-to-be's sister surprised her with the perfect gift.

Shortly after Shane Yeo, 27, proposed to Jenna Tobillo, 26, in Dallas on their eight-year anniversary on Dec. 29, they headed to their engagement party. As the couple entered Blackfriar Pub, they were met with congratulations and gifts — one of which left Jenna in tears.

Jenna's older sister, Jessica Tobillo, 29, handed her a gift wrapped in pink. When she unwrapped it, her jaw immediately dropped.

"I opened it and I was absolutely in shock," Jenna tells PEOPLE.

Initially, she thought it was somehow a framed photo from the proposal, but then realized it was the hand-stiched "Recipe For Marriage" frame that she found on Nov. 23 while Christmas shopping with her sister at North Dallas Antique Mall. At the time, she immediately "fell in love with" the frame but didn't buy it because she wasn't married.

"I didn't buy the frame at the time because I thought 'I am not married or engaged so there is no point in me buying this,' " Jenna recalls. "Plus, my sister recommended I don't get the frame because 'what if I jinxed myself' as a joke."

The day Jessica learned Jenna's boyfriend was planning to propose, she ran back to the antique store to purchase the frame for her younger sister.

"It meant the world to me that my sister remembered the frame and went back to get it for me!" Jenna says. "She told me after that after we left the antique store she told her fiancé that the day she finds out I am going to get engaged she will go back and get for me! Luckily, when she went back it was still there over a month later."

The ingredients listed for the "Recipe For Marriage" are as follows: love, patience, companionship, humor, trust and tenderness. Before serving, the directions say to "blend together, add joy [and] sprinkle with kisses."

On TikTok, Jenna added that the thoughtful gift is something she'll "cherish forever" and that she's "still crying over it."

Yeo got down on one knee and popped the question with a sparkling oval diamond on a gold band on a bridge in Highland Park. Afterward, they enjoyed dinner, just the two of them, before heading to the bar engagement party, which was attended by about a dozen of their family and friends.

Just over a week before the proposal on Dec. 21, Jenna's friends gave her their engagement rings to wear while they did a chant and dance to manifest her engagement. Yeo sneakily smiled and danced as they did so.

The couple met in high school in Illinois. The two started dating long-distance in college, with Jenna in Chicago and Yeo in North Carolina. After graduation, they moved to Dallas together and adopted two dogs. Now, they're look forward to tying the knot!
