For one butter-loving woman, a birthday was a perfect occasion to throw the ultimate butter bash.

Amanda Gajdosik, known on TikTok as @midwestnicemakes, has long shared her love of butter on social media. Not only does she work and create content involving food, but she even got a butter stick tattoo to commemorate her love for the spread.

"I've been cooking and baking my whole life. I have a deep affection for Julia Child, Ina Garten and my paternal grandmother, Marion, who was one of the best cooks I've ever known. I worked in restaurants for 13 years and, at one point, ran a pastry program. At another, I was a main baker churning out hundreds of loaves of bread, croissants, cinnamon rolls and more every day," Amanda tells PEOPLE.

"Food has always been a huge source of comfort and creativity for me. Butter just happens to be one of the best mediums to work with! You can make it sweet, savory or both."

Amanda saw the opportunity to throw a butter-themed celebration as her and husband Seth Muskavitch's birthdays approached.

"Our birthdays are only a week apart and this year mine was the day before Easter, so his birthday was a better choice for scheduling a celebration. We both invited a bunch of our friends and had a big celebration of butter and birthdays," she shares.

Every detail of the party was synched with the theme — including a banner that read 'Churn Down for What?' — as seen in the now-viral TikTok which has amassed nearly one million views.

The centerpiece of the event was the menu, full of goodies that utilized a lot of Amanda's favorite ingredient.

"My husband and I did all the cooking, baking and prepping. We love hosting and generally only want our friends to worry about bringing the good vibes and good times," she explains. "Two of our friends did us a huge solid by bringing some delicious sourdough and ciabatta bread from a local bakery so everyone could enjoy bread and the various compound butters."

When it came to building the menu, "I just thought about the obvious — compound butters and butter cookies — and then used that as a jumping off point. So if we have butter, what else can we have? Buttermilk is directly related to butter. What's best made out of buttermilk? Fried chicken, obviously. What do you pair with fried chicken? Waffles, of course!"

"I lived in the South for a while, so it felt natural to put that dish on the menu," she continues. And once you've got fried chicken and waffles, you might as well add buttermilk biscuits to cover all your savory Southern bases."

There were tons of buttered goodies, from popcorn to noodles, that didn't make the cut, but ultimately, the pair was "really happy with how the menu worked out."

"We had a great variety of sweet and savory, mains and sides. We even managed to include a good amount of veggies because we served them with homemade buttermilk ranch and did buttered radishes! Having everything on theme and cohesive was a huge goal, and I think we nailed it."

For drinks, she went with JaM Cellars' Butter Wines, noting she's "been a fan for a while, and it was the perfect excuse to buy all their varieties, which everyone enjoyed."

Her guests, from both in and out of town, were thrilled with the outcome, with one of Amanda's family recipes taking centerstage.

"For anyone to take time out of their day to come and enjoy a silly little party and eat some wildly indulgent dishes was more than I could have asked for. We're lucky to have such a great group of friends," she shares.

"A dark horse I wasn't expecting to get so much attention was my great grandmother's recipe for browned butter toffee bars. I've been making them since college and I knew I wanted to serve them since they fit the theme. But I had no idea so many people would love them at the actual party, and then request the recipe online. I feel very proud that a cherished family recipe can now be enjoyed by so many!"

The crowd pleaser was, without question, Seth's masterfully cooked buttermilk fried chicken.

"Seth is a wiz with the deep fryer and all of our guests remarked on how delicious the fried chicken was. Perfectly seasoned, deeply golden brown, and totally delicious!"

Amanda was also grateful for the goodies supplied by Plugrà Butter that made her celebration extra special.

"I was lucky enough to be sent butter and some baking accessories from Plugrà Butter, a brand I've known about for the better part of 15 years and have used in my professional career," she explains.

"Getting to make goodie bags for all of our guests that included a pound of European butter, pastry brushes, bench scrapers and homemade jams was really special. It reminded me of being a little kid and making goodie bags for your themed birthday party, which is really what this celebration was a callback to," she shares, adding, "Just because we're adults now, doesn't mean we can't celebrate our birthdays or things we love deeply!"

As exciting as the outcome of the party was, Amanda got an added surprise by the creation online. To her, it's a testament to the fact that "people respond to authenticity."

"Luckily or unluckily, I've always been very vocal about what I enjoy. Whether it's singing along to musicals, being obsessed with my dog or loving butter to an unreasonable degree, it's just more fun to love your life out loud. I'm deeply proud to be from Wisconsin and all that that represents to people: the beer, the cheese, the Jello salads and more," she says.

"I've found that people really respond to my authentic life and I'm happy to share as long as people are interested. Just me and Seth, our little life in our little house with our little dog ... and a whole lot of butter."
