I Wore Super Comfy ECCO Shoes With All of My Copenhagen Fashion Week Outfits

Copenhagen Fashion Week AW 2025 is officially over and while this was my fourth time attending, it never gets old. Between the runways and the street style, the laid-back yet cutting-edge style of the city is apparent throughout the week. Year after year, attendance from around the world has grown making the street style some of the best in the world. CPHFW is also the best time to experiment with your style because one of the key elements of street style there – and Scandinavian fashion in general – is pops of color and fun, effortless blending of relaxed silhouettes, practical pieces, and understated elegance. There is a commitment to being comfortable without sacrificing personal style, particularly when it comes to shoe choice (Scandi style is famous for pairing a sneaker with practically anything, like a formal dress or tailored suit).

With that in mind, this week I prioritized comfort when I put my looks together. Throughout the week I wore the Danish shoe brand ECCO with every single outfit. What makes the brand great is the attention to detail and innovation in technology and the fashion industry. They have had quite a few collaborations and guest artists work on their shoes and they even recently went viral when a photo of fashion icon Chloe Sevigny wearing a pair of the Natacha Ramsay-Levi for ECCO shoes was posted on Instagram.

Another long-term partnership is RAL7000STUDIO, an Italian studio collective of designers primarily focused on shoe design. During CPHFW the two teams showcased their second collection together, which makes sense for ECCO to go back to their origins as a Danish shoemaker. I spoke with the designers from RAL7000STUDIO about where their inspiration for this new collection came from and they said they tried to come up with a merging world between ECCO and RAL by mixing utility, street style, comfort, family values, and the outdoors.

Ahead here's how I styled the super comfortable ECCO shoes with all of my looks during Copenhagen Fashion Week.

After a long flight, I arrived in Copenhagen and had some time to walk around and grab a coffee before the first show of the week. I grabbed a bun and coffee from La Cabra and started walking toward the Opera House where, interestingly, the brand Opéra Sport would be showing. The show was gorgeous and set along the water. It was the best way to start the week with the brand’s beautiful silhouettes and pops of color showcasing against the scenic river backdrop. After the show, I hung by the water with some friends to take in the scene and of course, take some outfit pictures of each other. My outfit for day 1 was leaning more comfortable, I think dressing up a pair of track pants is the ultimate hack for when you are feeling low effort. Another element that always feels right, is a slight pop of color with your sock. My ECCO sneakers needed something to balance the white so I went with this lovely chartreuse ribbed pair. I chose a dressier, but sporty, zip-up Issey Miyake Pleats Please top to complete the look and take me day to night for the dinner I had after the show.

I had a breakfast hosted by ECCO with food prepared by the extremely popular and acclaimed Danish chef, Frederick Bille Brahe. We watched a presentation of how the new collection with RAL7000STUDIO was put together and the design process. I then strolled around the city a bit with another editor, poking our heads into shops. I had the Caro Editions show in the afternoon and the Nicklas Skovgaard presentation followed. When getting dressed I wanted something put together and professional, but fun which I felt I achieved by mixing this Nanushka button down with a Tibi powder blue sheer skirt. And of course, topped it off with my favorite pair of ECCOs from the whole week. This style is a piece from their core collection called ECCO. Kollektive and I love that they are slightly rugged but sleek and made with the softest leather. I was practically floating down the street in these.

I had plans to attend a couple of my favorite shows of the week – Skall Studio, The Garment, Mark Kenly Domino Tan plus a new favorite and winner of Zalando’s One to Watch Awards, Sinéad O'Dwyer. I knew I needed some ease with my outfit to get through this busy day. I also had plans to swim at La Banchina during lunchtime so needed to bring a bag for my swimsuit and change of clothes. I biked in between all the shows and to the canal and these ECCO ballet flats never left my feet. Pedal pushers were huge last spring on the runway in NY and they are here to stay as they were all over the CPH runway as well.

On my fourth day, I was in the mood to play with color and texture. With a bunch of fun activities lined up, I wanted my outfit to reflect that vibe. The Marimekko show was later that afternoon, and it's always inspiring with its bold prints and vibrant colors. I also had a good amount of walking in my future as my friends and I planned to browse a few shops specifically Pico, our favorite hair accessories store. Could probably spend hours in there looking at every hair clip, bow, fastener, etc. I chose this ECCO pair because they can keep up with a long day.

I opted for another track pant look, this time featuring the Sid style from Tibi. With rain on and off throughout the day, the vibe felt right. I paired them with these black Biom C trail sneakers from ECCO, which struck the perfect balance between sleek and sporty. Before heading to the airport, I wanted to squeeze in a few more sights and planned to bike around again. Biking is the best way to see Copenhagen – even if you're not an experienced rider, the city makes it so easy to get around. When I got back to my hotel I swapped my Bevza top for a simple tank and sweatshirt and was ready to hit the road.
