Yee-haw! The Pioneer Woman takes us behind the scenes of her new furniture line
Attention, Ree Drummond fans! You won't want to miss this peek at the star's just-launched collection of chairs, sofas and more.
Hosting season is coming up and if it has you taking a critical look at your furniture situation, you're not alone. There's nothing like the prospect of family and friends descending on your home to make you want to redecorate (or maybe that's just me?). But rest assured, The Pioneer Woman has got our backs. That's right, folks, Food Network star Ree Drummond has just released her new, expanded collection of furniture at Walmart, and as a longtime home editor, I'm impressed.

The line features classic elements of Western design, like leather and cowhide print, alongside romantic, old-fashioned details like velvet upholstery and tufting. "What I always seek when I look for furniture pieces for my own home is that little touch of 'heritage' or 'vintage' that gives them a sense of history and character," says Ree. "I wanted to bring in a slightly rustic, elevated look for customers who seek the same kind of style."
That said, you don't have to live on a cattle ranch in Oklahoma like Ree does to appreciate the aesthetic. I'm a city gal and can't wait to curl up in one of the new spindle accent chairs, which have carved arms and legs and cozy-looking velvet cushions. "For years, my brand has been known for its bright colors and pretty floral patterns," Ree says. "Over time, I have softened my own aesthetic in my home, and my new products reflect this look."
That means slightly darker colors than you might expect, including a sophisticated take on Ree's favorite hue, teal. "I wanted to deepen and soften the shade so that it really complements the brown wood and doesn’t command all the attention in a room," she says. (Ree's also embracing chic neutrals and earthy tones: Just check out her newest cookware and appliances.) We've corralled all her best furniture here, so scroll on to take a peek and hear more from The Pioneer Woman herself. And if you see something you like, act fast — if history has taught us anything, Ree's new launches tend to sell out fast!
Nailhead trim gives this velvet ottoman a bit of an edge. Use it to stash books, magazines or a throw, then pull it out for extra seating when guests arrive. Not a velvet person? It also comes in dark brown leather.
Turned-wood legs give these chairs character, and they're upholstered in faux leather, which I actually prefer over fabric or real leather because it's easier to wipe clean. Ree uses these in her own dining room: "I am so happy with how 'at home' they are in this space, and it makes me excited about seeing them in customers’ homes," she says.
I imagined Ree did a lot of lounging to make sure this new piece was comfy enough, and it turns out I wasn't far off the mark! "A recliner is a very tricky piece of furniture to get right, because it absolutely must be comfortable (hence the name!) but it also needs to look great—and those two things are not always each to achieve at the same time," she says.
For this chair, she focused on the cushioning and positioning of the arms, "so it's a really natural reclining position for the body," she says. "My family and I had a lot of fun testing these out, and I’m confident they’ll be a hit for anyone who loves a good lounge chair (with a subtle cowboy flair)!"
Speaking of cowboy flair, how fun is this faux cowhide bench? The shelf lets it do double duty as storage, and you could, ahem, mooove it pretty much anywhere, says Ree: "I’ve seen it used in entries, at the foot of a bed and as a small coffee table in customers’ spaces so far—and I can’t tell you how amazing it looks in every setting."
"The fabric is a solid color with a great texture, and the spindled legs and arms have so much character," says Ree of this cushiony armchair. The design is inspired by chairs she and her mother-in-law, Nan, found years ago for the Lodge (the family guesthouse where Ree films her Food Network show). So basically, having one of these chairs is like having a piece of The Pioneer Woman set in your own home!

When you have dishes you want to show off, a windowed cabinet is a must. At 55 inches wide, this sideboard offers serious storage, and the warm wood tones are right on trend. I especially like the bronze-finish pulls, which have an etched floral design on the top and bottom.
Talk about sitting pretty! If I didn't know better, I'd think this 80-inch-wide sofa was a reupholstered find from an antique shop. "I’ve always been drawn to a soft, washy velvet and a tufted back," says Ree. "This sofa is gorgeous, as it can be an accent piece in an entry or bedroom, or it can be mirrored with an additional/second sofa in a living room for a really stunning seating area."
White paint gives this vintage-style bed frame a fresh look. I can just imagine it layered with striped sheets and a patchwork quilt. The frame also comes as a twin and in a dark brown wood that feels very home-on-the-range!
