'Yellowstone' Fans Just Pointed Out a Major Season 3 Plot Hole

• So far in season 3, there hasn't been any mention of Jamie's baby.

Jamie Dutton can't seem to catch a break. Since the very beginning of the show, he's been the character that Yellowstone fans love to hate — and it doesn't help that his own family seems to provoke it. But everything's really been building up to his breaking point in season 3: During the last few episodes, viewers learned that Jamie is the reason why Beth can't have children, and that he actually isn't John's biological son.

With so much focus on Jamie this season, fans are starting to wonder why there hasn't been any mention of his baby. ICYMI: Toward the end of season 2, it was revealed that Jamie's on-again, off-again girlfriend Christina was pregnant with his child. At the time, he told her to keep it under wraps, but it's unclear why he hasn't brought up the baby (or Christina, even) once during the current season.

While it's likely a part of creator Taylor Sheridan's master plan to peel away Jamie's layers, fans are starting to ask questions about this significant plot hole:

All the while, the recent breakthroughs in season 3 are giving clarity about Jamie's reasoning for keeping the baby a secret from his family. It's fair to assume that he doesn't want Beth to find out because she still resents him for taking away her ability to have children. Some fans predict that if — okay, when — she finds out the news, she'll seek revenge.

After Christina's big reveal, actor Wes Bentley commented on the complications that this baby would bring. "I think Jamie had resigned himself to being single for the rest of his life and that's just the way it was going to be because of commitment to the family. So, the idea of a kid, I don't even think he can put that together in the moment, except that he knows immediately that kid might be in danger," he said during the show's Behind the Story.

Although this could make things even uglier on the Dutton's ranch, one fan remains hopeful that Jamie will use this opportunity to right his wrongs with Beth.

Here's where things get confusing, though: Katherine Cummingham, the actress who plays Christina, isn't listed on Yellowstone's season 3 cast list. Although it's possible that the baby will be introduced without Christina present, it seems unlikely. So, it looks like we'll have to continue watching to find out!
