Zendaya Goes Avant-garde in Torishéju Crop Top and High-slit Skirt for ‘Dune: Part Two’ Premiere in Mexico City

Zendaya continued her unconventional style streak on Monday while attending a photocall for “Dune: Part Two” in Mexico City. Late last month, the actress experimented with a series of avant-garde looks while attending Paris couture week.

Zendaya’s custom Torishéju ensemble was inspired by a design from the label’s spring 2024 collection. Crafted with a mix of neutral fabrics — plus a pop of red — her look included a crop top and a high-slit maxiskirt.

The “Euphoria” actress accessorized with Christian Louboutin pumps and Bulgari jewels. Zendaya has been a brand ambassador for Bulgari since 2020, appearing in ad campaigns for the high jewelry house, as well as wearing its designs on the red carpet.

Law Roach, who’s also known for working with Megan Thee Stallion and Anne Hathaway, styled Zendaya for the occasion.

Zendaya was joined by her “Dune” costars Timothée Chalamet and Florence Pugh. Chalamet opted for an all-black outfit consisting of a sleeveless satin top and skinny trousers. Pugh, who was dressed by stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray, wore a mirrored two-piece ensemble from Galvan London.

Zendaya noticeably discarded the baby bangs she debuted during couture week. After sporting them at Schiaparelli, she also displayed the new hair style at Fendi. Wearing a ribbed cold shoulder gown, Zendaya matched its burgundy hue to her blunt fringe. Meanwhile, her makeup, which featured a blood-red ombre lip, also nodded to her Fendi look.

Shades of red are still in style this year after labels like Valentino, Carolina Herrera and Emilia Wickstead set the trend during the fall 2023 runway season. At the Golden Globes earlier this month, celebrities including Selena Gomez, Ayo Edebiri and Florence Pugh opted for rouge hues, confirming that the fad is here to stay.
