Zendaya's Latest Futuristic Gown Featured an Extreme Bellybutton Cutout That Spanned to Her Hip Bones
Our minds = blown.
Zendaya's Dune: Part Two press looks have been hit after hit, wowing fans and fashion buffs alike by pulling from archival collections (like the chrome Mugler robot suit or the chic cyborg two- piece set from Givenchy) for her red carpet ensembles. And on Sunday, the futuristic themes continued for the movie's premiere in New York City — this time, with a subtle nod to the movie's desert setting.
The actress attended the premiere, held at the Josie Robertson Plaza at Lincoln Center, wearing a structural white gown by Stéphane Rolland Couture. The gown featured a daring cutout that started in-between the chest area and cascaded down to her stomach, as well as her hip bones and thighs. The dress additionally contained 3D gold sculptural details at the hem. Zendaya completed the look with gold Jimmy Choo heels and several sparkling Bulgari rings.
As for beauty, the 27-year-old kept her face glowy, wearing a nude-colored gloss and light peach tones on the eyes and cheeks. Zendaya added an ethereal touch by letting her natural curls shine through, with a few matching extension pieces to add volume and length.

The actress' gown of choice is a perfect one for the Dune: Part Two premiere — Rolland revealed that the spring 2024 collection was largely inspired by sandy locations (Dune primarily takes place on the desert planet of Arrakis). “It’s the desert to show infinity and peace,” Rolland previously told Women's Wear Daily. “I wanted to bring this atmosphere in haute couture with the creation of new volumes.”
Zendaya's promo schedule will have to take a slight pause in the meantime. Following the premiere, the actress canceled a scheduled appearance Good Morning America after coming down with a sore throat. "Hello GMA, I'm so sorry that I can't be there. I've come down with something," she said in a video. "I completely lost my voice but I hope you guys have a beautiful morning and I hope you enjoy Dune: Part Two."
