Not A Joke: There's A $100 Salad At The Super Bowl Don Juan Moore

It's no secret that concession stand pricing is out of control—even during the regular football season. $13 pizza slices and $19 beers are just the norm. However, this year's Super Bowl LIX destination, Caesars Superdome, is going above and beyond. And by that, we mean price gauging.

The luxe menu, which was created by hospitality group Sodexo Live!, includes your typical game day fare: hot dogs, nachos, and...a $100 salad?? Somehow, we're not kidding. Among the stadium's priciest grub is a Caprese Crab Salad that actually runs you a staggering hundred bucks, The Mirror reports. (Might we suggest you make our version for much less instead.)There's also $80 Garden Fresh Crudites or the Louisiana Creole dish Dirty Rice for $75 if you want to spend your entire week's grocery budget on one meal.

The pricing should hardly come as a surprise considering the Superdome, a.k.a the New Orleans Saints' home stadium, has some of the most expensive concession prices in the NFL. But that's not to say there aren't some reasonable choices on the menu. Fans can grab pretzels, wings, and hot dogs for as little as just $4.

And while we're not entirely sure where in the stadium ticket-holders can snag the $100 salad (or who exactly would order it at all???), the stadium suite menu—which our girl Taylor Swift is enjoying, naturally—includes plenty of other pricey options: sushi and sandwich platters, seafood towers, and tomahawk steaks with the Super Bowl LIX logo branded right into the bone.

"We want to bring to life the city, but also need to remember it’s a football game," Sodexo Live's! National executive chef Carmen Callo told the outlet. "It’s about marrying the Cajun, the Creole, the French, the Southern… a global melting pot that makes New Orleans so special."

The rest of the menu includes more Louisiana grub: po' boys, alligator sausage on French bread, seafood nachos, a lobster karagee sandwich (panko-coated butterflied lobster tail drizzled with lemon pepper sauce, butter lettuce, tomato, and remoulade sauce on a brioche bun!), and a 9-hour smoked short rib.
