Sophie Grégoire Trudeau wants you to know all about her — at least in 73 questions. The 49-year-old retired Canadian TV host took to social media over the past week to share a few videos of herself answering a variety of questions about her values, interests and goals.

Quick Overview

The clips, seemingly inspired by Vogue's series of rapid-fire questions with celebrities like Taylor Swift, Adele and Kim Kardashian, were shared in three parts. In them, Grégoire Trudeau answered her friend — who remains off-screen — from a dining table.

Grégoire Trudeau, who separated from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in 2023 but shares three kids with him, opened up about a variety of aspects of her life. From admitting she can't yet run a full marathon, to sharing she leans on both her friends and herself, the "Closer Together" author was candid and casual in the clip. Below are four things we learned about Grégoire Trudeau.

📚 She's a major bookworm: Here's what she's reading

Grégoire Trudeau opened up about some of the books that have recently been in her life, showing she's a real book lover. However, she shared one fact about herself that might not be common amongst other bookworms: "I'm obsessed with books, I read so many. I don't finish them completely, but I should."

When answering a question about the most recent book she read, Grégoire Trudeau replied with "A Gentle Reminder" by Bianca Sparacino. Published in October 2020, the book from the Toronto-born writer shares a variety of life lessons for moments you feel you need some wisdom.

As a follow-up question about what she's currently reading, Grégoire Trudeau said she was reading "a lot of books" at the same time. On top of some philosophical and poetry books, she added she has also two more books on her currently-reading list.

"Mother Hunger" by trauma counsellor Kelly McDaniel is part of that list. The book, published in 2021, looks at "how adult daughters can understand and heal from lost nurturance, protection and guidance."

Grégoire Trudeau also shared she'd currently reading "The Hidden Power of the Five Hearts" by meditation teacher and nutritionist Kimberly Snyder. Published in September 2024, it's an "essential guide" that will "lead you through five stages to awaken the vast intelligence and power of your heart."

🎶 She loves music — and this TV show character

Grégoire Trudeau also opened up about some of the media she's consuming. From music to television, she seems to have a love for a variety of genres. For one, the one TV show character she's currently obsessed with is the main character in Netflix series Russian Doll, Nadia Vulvokov, who's played by Natasha Lyonne.

In terms of music, Grégoire Trudeau said "Hallelujah" by Canadian songwriter Leonard Cohen was currently on repeat in her home. Originally released in 1984, the song only saw major success after a 1991 recording by John Cale. Moreover, Grégoire Trudeau said she's "a Madonna fan, like from childhood," but that her favourite band would be Calgary-originated indie folk group Reuben and the Dark.

❤️ Courage is her best asset

One of the first questions Grégoire Trudeau answered was that courage is her biggest strength. She reiterated later in her casual interview that with three words, she'd describe herself with the words "love, courageous [and] tender."

🙆‍♀️ She has a wealth of advice to share

Across her three videos, Grégoire Trudeau proved she has a wealth of knowledge and advice to share with the world. While some of her current interests across music, TV and books were interesting peeks into her mind, her juicier answers showed she's experienced lots in life.

When asked about when she feels most inspired, Grégoire Trudeau replied saying it's when she's "tasted life with all of its ups and downs, no halves, fully." Additionally, she said she wishes she knew when she was 19 years old that "there's no rush" when it comes to her life.

One of the best pieces of advice she's received is something many people can reflect on. She said "'everything is a passage'" is a phrase someone once told her that was insightful.

Grégoire Trudeau said she doesn't live life with regret. But there was one thing she'd have to say, it'd be that she would've loved to have "understood the people I've loved better when it was time."
