This $32.8 Million Condo in Miami Comes With a Private Beach Bungalow

Miami Beach’s 33109 ZIP code is the country’s fourth-most expensive, so it’s no surprise that a lavish condo that recently landed on the market in the city’s neighboring 33139 ZIP could set a record for the area.

The 5,512-square-foot Sky Villa at The Continuum, a ritzy oceanfront high-rise in South Beach, is asking a staggering $32.75 million with Dina Goldentayer of Douglas Elliman. If the sun-saturated aerie sells at or even comes close to the listing price, it’ll shatter the record for the highest paid per square foot. Adding to its allure, the eight-figure property also includes a private, two-story beachside bungalow—so it’s kind of like a two-for-one deal if you really think about it.

The unit comes with a two-story beachside bungalow.

The sprawling pad is perched on the 38th floor of The Continuum South Tower and features four bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths. Local Miami-based architect Kobi Karp outfitted the digs, the same firm behind the Indian Creek Residences and Yacht Club in Bay Harbor Islands, the Palazzo Del Sol development, and several notable South Florida mansions such as the Copper House.

Sustainable, locally sourced materials were intentionally incorporated throughout. You’ll find wide-plank white oak floorboards upon entering (they take their cue from the sandy shoreline Miami Beach is known for), followed by curved ceilings, custom drapes, and fluted wood paneling. Other highlights include an abundance of decorative millwork and designer light fixtures, as well as a floor-to-ceiling wall of glass separating the dining area from the Hans Krug kitchen, which is done up with glossy lacquered cabinets, top-of-the-line Miele appliances, a breakfast area, and a wood-clad island.

The minimalist eat-in kitchen is sequestered behind a glass partition.

Of the abode’s most impressive elements, the pièce de résistance is the wraparound terrace, which provides sweeping views over the ocean. Elsewhere, the condo also holds two ocean-facing offices for the work-from-home types, a TV room, and an ultra-chic primary suite. And, for overnight guests, on-site staycations, or just taking an afternoon nap after a day at the beach, the one-bedroom, one-bath beachfront bungalow’s lounge spills onto a private patio.

Residents of the highly sought-after 13-acre resort-style complex have access to a slew of perks that include an exclusive full-service beach club. Additional amenities include multiple swimming pools, a state-of-the-art spa, and a fitness center. Over the years, The Continuum has hosted its fair share of notable residents. For example, celebrity restaurateur Myles Chefetz, who’s cooked for everyone from Kim Kardashian to Jennifer Lopez, previously owned a condo in the tower along with influencer and Hamptons socialite Candice Miller, who moved in to an apartment reportedly owned by a trust linked to Alexander von Fürstenberg, the son of the fashion mogul Diane von Fürstenberg and her late ex-husband, Prince Egon von Fürstenberg.
