These 5 Haircuts Dominated Copenhagen Fashion Week And Will Soon Be Everywhere
While the Couture Fashion Week agenda usually sets forth the most otherworldly style inspiration for the season ahead, Copenhagen Fashion Week, on the other hand, has always been about the trends we want to wear everyday – think: timeless, yet forward-facing pieces that will shape our everyday wardrobes and Scandi-inspired hairstyles and 'no make-up make-up' we'll want to emulate and wear on repeat.
As knitted hoods proved to be the favourite sartorial item among the street style set this week, those who descended on the Danish capital for the AW25 fashion show schedules also brought ample beauty inspiration for the months to come, illustrating some of the best haircuts and trends hairstylists are predicting will take off for 2025. Below, discover the five haircuts you'll soon be seeing everywhere...

The power pixie
Take it from every hairstylist and expert – the pixie cut is going to boom for 2025. With many an iteration starting to trickle in and pique the interest of the internet (see: pixie cuts with bangs and the choppy pixie), there are plenty of different styles, shapes and cuts that will add fresh appeal to the classic crop. The pixie that dominated CFW? This 'power pixie' cut sits somewhere between a birkin bob (wispy bangs) and the longer, classic pixie (with hair kept longer on the sides). Pair with an oversized suit or tailoring for instant style nous.
The collarbone bob
For those looking to grow out their bob, this collarbone shape is the perfect middle ground for that often tricky in-between period. As proven by street style goers during Copenhagen Fashion Week, the best way to style it is with a razor-sharp and gradient line that grazes the collarbone or shoulders. As for your styling products, use a hair serum to manage any flyaways and create a smoother finish.
Full fringes
Full fringes might have once fallen out of favour in the past, but they are very much back for 2025. On the streets of Copenhagen, the runways - and on our ELLE UK February cover starring Lady Gaga - full fringes are reigning supreme. Unlike the wispy, soft bangs that dominated months prior, expect to see fuller, thicker and blunt fringes monopolising our beauty moodboards this season.
The tucked crop
There is no escaping the colossal boom of the bob. From choppy to blunt bobs, it has become the world's favourite hairstyle, with everyone from Kendall Jenner to Ayo Edebiri jumping on the bob bandwagon. One slightly newer version of the ubiquitous style is this tucked-under crop. Neither blunt and sharp nor curly and undone, it's created using a straightener flicked under at the ends and adds a softer finish to the classic bob.
Cloud curls
Soft, airy, and playing on the natural texture of your curls and coils – cloud curls have become the latest fascination of TikTokers. They were also everywhere at Copenhagen Fashion Week, with bouncy and loose curls dominating. The trick here is to ditch your styling tools and depend upon product curl enhancers to help define the natural shape of your curl pattern and mirror that cloud-like finish.
Balayage Braids
If there's one way to inject a dose of personality (or even simply lean into a new aesthetic), it's via coloured braids. Whether you go for softer balayage in the form of honey blonde or icy lengths or a more daring asphalt blue and Barbie pink, Copenhagen Fashion Week proved just how impactful this look can be.
