This 6-Ingredient Brown Sugar Salmon Is Ready In 15 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp.

    dark brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp.

    Dijon mustard

  • 1 tbsp.

    fish sauce

  • 1 tbsp.

    fresh lime juice

  • 1/2 tsp.

    homemade or store-bought berbere, baharat, or garam masala spice mix

  • 1 tbsp.

    neutral oil

  • 4

    (6-oz.) skin-on salmon fillets

  • Kosher salt

Directions

  1. Place a rack in upper third of oven; heat broiler to high. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, mustard, fish sauce, lime juice, and spice mix until combined and smooth. Reserve 2 tablespoons glaze for serving.

  2. Drizzle oil onto a foil-lined sheet tray, spreading to edges with a pastry brush or paper towels. Season salmon on all sides with salt and arrange on prepared tray, skin side down. Pour half of remaining glaze over salmon.

  3. Broil salmon 5 minutes. Remove tray from oven and pour remaining glaze over. Continue to broil until salmon is cooked through and glaze is slightly sticky, 5 to 6 minutes more.

  4. Transfer salmon to a platter. Spoon reserved 2 tablespoons glaze over.
