72-year-old Suzanne Somers turns heads in leather mini-dress
Ahead of this weekend’s 76th Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles, many stars made a quick trip east to the Palm Springs Film Festival.
Celebrities like Emily Blunt, Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone dazzled on the red carpet, but it was one television icon that had heads turning and cameras flashing.
“Three’s Company” star Suzanne Somers turned heads in a leather mini-dress as she arrived at the festival with husband, Canadian film producer Alan Hamel.

The 72-year-old breast cancer survivor has transitioned from the small screen to become a New York Times bestselling author and has dedicated her life to helping women look and feel their best, regardless of their age.
“I really take good care of myself. I don’t take any drugs either over the counter or pharmaceutical,” Somers has said of her trick to looking youthful. “I grow my own organic food, I rub on hormone cream everyday. Everything that I write about in my books, I live the life that I write about.”

Somers, who got her start in Hollywood as the “Mysterious blonde” in the 1973 film “American Graffiti,” is sharing her secrets to a long lasting relationship in her latest book, “Two’s Company: A Fifty-Year Romance with Lessons Learned in Love, Life & Business.”
“Many years ago, I had a therapist who taught me how to argue. So here’s what you do: You never start any sentence with ‘you always,’ ‘you never’ or ‘you should.’ That’s like backing the other person into the corner, and they have no choice but to strike,” Somers explained. “So, here’s how you do it effectively. ‘When you do this, it makes me feel that.’ Try it — it works every time, and you just won’t fight, because then the other person says, ‘Well, I didn’t mean to make you feel like that.’ And then you get a real ‘I’m sorry.'”
Somers said she and her 82-year-old husband keep things spicy by making time for romantic “date nights” that include dinner, candles, dancing and a little bit of tequila.
“I love Patron Silver tequila! I don’t even think it’s a bad thing, there’s a lot of great information coming out about tequila,” the star shared. “It has little to no sugar so you don’t get fat from it and it also acts as a probiotic in your GI tract!”
