Aaron Rodgers Is Returning to Guest Host 'Jeopardy!' Amid the Search for a New Permanent Host
Jeopardy! fans, if you thought you had seen the last of Aaron Rodgers as a guest host, you’re mistaken. As it turns out, the Green Bay Packers quarterback is standing behind the lectern one more time — but it’s not exactly what you think.
Aaron's return is all part of a fun cameo on the ABC sitcom The Conners. On Wednesday's upcoming episode, Darlene (Sara Gilbert) tells Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) that the Jeopardy! episode she was on is finally airing. As Conners fans know, throughout season 3, Jackie has been dropping subtle clues about appearing on the show as a contestant. After the family took note of Jackie studying, all talk about Jeopardy! ceased — until now.
“Aaron Rodgers, this. I’ve been feeling some obvious chemistry here,” Jackie says in the episode preview clip below. “Between who and who?” Aaron replies. “We’re really going to do this?!” she quips back. Meanwhile, Dan (John Goodman) watches the exchange from home in shock.

Overall, fans seem to be super pumped to see the full scene on Wednesday. Many took to Instagram to share their excitement.
“The season has been such a wild ride. I can’t wait to watch!” one person wrote. “I can't wait for this episode 👏,” another added. “OMG 😆,” a different fan said.
Others noted that Dan, who is a Chicago Bears fan, probably isn't going to be too pleased to have to look at Aaron on his TV. “As a Bears fan, I bet Dan hates this,” a follower commented. “Funny because he is a Packer, enemy of Bears. Lol,” someone else added.
To be clear, the NFL player’s cameo on The Conners shouldn’t be taken as an indicator that he’s landed the actual job of permanent host of Jeopardy! According to executive producer Mike Richards, a decision has yet to be made about who will follow in the footsteps of Alex Trebek, who died this past November.
