Snookie went from a discarded dog to a beloved rescue pet with a private pool.

On July 17, the Humane Society of Atlantic County in Atlantic City, New Jersey, posted a video on Facebook of a dog abandonment on its property.

The shelter captioned the upsetting clip, "This is the fourth dog dumped over our fence by this individual in the middle of the night."

In the footage, a person walking a dog approaches the fence outside the Humane Society of Atlantic County. The individual then picks up the canine and dumps it on the other side of the fence.

This abandoned dog is Snookie, a friendly pooch with distinct scarring on her back. The Humane Society of Atlantic County didn't let Snookie's story end there. The shelter took in the canine after the person in the video heaved her over the fence.

After spending time recovering at the shelter, Snookie became available for adoption. On Sept. 20, the Humane Society of Atlantic County announced that Snookie had found a new home and settled in.

"Remember the dog that was thrown over the fence? Here she is, now named Snookie, with one of her two new brothers. They are playing in their backyard in Texas, and the pool in the background was built specifically for dogs," the New Jersey shelter captioned the Facebook post, which includes a video of Snookie playing with her new canine sibling outside in front of a beautiful, bubbling pool.

"We are thrilled that Snookie has such an amazing life and loving family now," the Humane Society of Atlantic County added. The shelter also shared a photo of the rescue dog in the comments section of the update post. In the picture, Snookie wears hot pink claw caps and oversized sunglasses.
