ABC Carpet & Home Expands Furnishings With Bond Street Collection
ABC Carpet & Home this week launched an exclusive furniture line, the Bond Street Collection.
The collection serves as an evolution of the company’s Cobble Hill line, which last year expanded with an omnichannel experience for customers featuring its first customizable furniture experience. Geri Moran, vice president of marketing, told WWD that while rugs make up about 50 percent of the business, furnishings are a steadily growing category.

Similar to the Cobble Hill offering, the new Bond Street Collection was handcrafted with FSC-certified wood; features eco-friendly, hypoallergenic, plush cushion with trillium fill, and was designed with a modern, modular sensibility.
“I think it’s just really expanding on upholstery and fabric options. I’d like to bring more color to the brand, because we are so colorful here,” Michelle Vainberg, director of furniture, said of the line’s plush wool blend bouclé curved Beam chair, available in shades of oxblood red, faded blue, sage green, ochre yellow-brown and more.
Additional highlights of the collection include three curved styles (the kidney-shaped Madison sofa, Beam chair and Madison swivel chair) and three styles of deep seated, modular sofas (Bond Street, Sullivan and Barclay).
“The collection is a way to upscale what we’ve done with Cobble Hill, which was kind of for first home renter and younger [customers],” she said of the Bond Street Collection, which combines style, sustainable craftsmanship and practicality designed to attract an older customer looking for sophisticated home furnishings.
Available exclusively through the New York company’s flagship at 888 Broadway and through its e-commerce, customers are able to customize the furnishings’ colors and fabrics, including velvet and performance fabrics. In-stock styles are available to be delivered locally in New York City within one week, whereas custom orders with hand-finishings are completed within four to six weeks.
